GOLD MemberHi Chris , your BS 9000 looks like mine did before it needed a new laser. I dropped mine into a repair place in Nice which I had not used before earlier this year. The first thing the guy said was “ah my old friend” when he saw the box. Places that do repair these are very familiar with them. I have no suggestions as to why two replacement lasers would not work.
What country are you in ?

GOLD MemberHopefully this thread will encourage others to fix their BC2s while replacement parts still exist.
… And people still have land lines

GOLD MemberI would go for BS 9000 or a BC 2 , both classics. Try get a refurbished one. I had a BS4 and I never liked it.

GOLD MemberThe battery tray is a very “snug” fit. I find when reloading the tray that it can resist it but by rotating a little and reloading it slides in.
I would not tap it against any thing hard. Perhaps try putting it in a warm place (not hot) for a few hours would help.

GOLD MemberI have no idea of the current price of these Tvs but I think they have a stunning picture.
If i had the space I would have one by now.

GOLD MemberWhat country are you in ? There might be a local specialist repair available.

GOLD MemberI have no idea what can be taken off. You would obviously need help but if your not comfortable trying this get a pair of house moving guys who are used to moving stuff in tight spaces.
It is worth keeping !

GOLD MemberGuy I remember hearing that to mix BC5 with older BCs they need a software reset/upgrade .
Is this true ?
