We get dropouts and all speakers are wired with the exception of the A5. It’s not constant but it’s there. The Beosound 2 is probably the worst. Sometimes I do a reboot on the BS 2 and it’s fine for a while.
Spotify is fine.
Just checked. If I press CD it activates Spotify. Same as using Shift CD
Found a Beo 4 with DTV and tried the Shift CD command. It didn’t join what was playing instead started up Spotify
Yes they are older Beo4’s. None have a DTV button. They do have a DVD button though.
CD2 works as Join when turning on my Beosound 35’s
Not good. Bet there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth by the technician?
I have a BV10 that you could have for a reasonable price. That way everything should work as it did previously (hopefully….)

I did eventually manage to get the widgets renamed but can’t be sure how I did it.
I think I removed a speaker from the acount and then renamed the other remaining one. I then re-added the speaker that I had removed.I thing I’ve noticed is that the Theatre doesn’t seem to have a logo as yet.

I notice that the song info on the stations no longer shows on our Beosound35. The song info shows on the Halo but not the BS 35. A bit annoying as it had just started again on TuneIn.
Not sure about the alarm function either as the BS35 is defaulting to a chime instead of the TuneIn station selected. There is no option for B&O radio as a source. I’ve tried deleting the alarm and redoing it but this didn’t work. I’ll have to try a different speaker and see if it does the same.
My Theatre has now decided to not work. The light at the front is flashing white.
Was trying to operate a product via HDMI when the problems began. Have powered the Theatre off several times. It works for a short time and then no response. Have tried reboot and eventually factory reset. Still the same.
Any thoughts?
I thought it was just me taking about seven hours over two nights to instal. That included running cables in the roof as well. I also had the added challenge of mounting the Theatre on a BV7 stand using a STB bracket. Not a lot of room for wires. I do wish B&O would plan for wires and leave a bit more space. With a full compliment of HDMI cables plus powerlink and Ethernet there’s a lot going on.
That said I’m stoked with the Theatre and G2 panel. Sound is staggering even on its own. A massive step up from a BV10

Thanks Guy for the info.
I attempted to use an existing IR lead and convert to RJ45. That didn’t go well.
Have ordered the adapter.

Give Rob or Jonathan at call at Premium Sound at St Kilda Road. They’re authorised dealers and they know their stuff – especially the ‘older’ gear.
They’ll be able to help you out
