The BS Encore is an ir-controlled products.
Be sure that the Essence remote supports ir modes (the first versions did not).
Then switch it to ir mode – see here:
Maybe this can help:
This is all I can find right now – maybe another member knows more.
MM
Location: Flensborg————DanmarkGOLD MemberNow launched in the EU as well – available from the beginning of May.
https://www.bang-olufsen.com/en/dk/earphones/beoplay-ex
Price is as with the EQ.
MM
Location: Flensborg————DanmarkGOLD MemberAnything that has a datalink connection for the controlling.
See this article:
https://www.beoworld.org/article_view.asp?id=64
Most common in use are the ‘pizza box systems’/6500-7000 or the BeoSystem 4500.
MM
Location: Flensborg————DanmarkGOLD MemberOh, well!
The price is equivalent to 375 €.
Will be interesting to see, when it will be released in the EU/UK….and if the price will be the same, which would be in the range of the current in-ears.

Location: Flensborg————DanmarkGOLD MemberStage/C1 is a common combination – there should be no problems there.
You can use the line input of the Stage for any audio device….with the right cable.
However, if you connect the BM5 you will have to deal with two x volume controls (and maybe even two remotes).
Do you also have the BS5 unit?
If you just want to have access to the music on the harddrive of the BM5, you can access the files throught the Stage/the Bang & Olufsen app.
You also have access to internet radio via the Stage, no need to use the BM5(/BS5) for that.
But maybe you like the BM5(/BS5) and want to keep it —— it is possible, but with some drawbacks.

Location: Flensborg————DanmarkGOLD MemberThis is odd – still not released (as far as I can see), but already unboxed/reviewed on YT:

An always inspiring thread ?
MM
Location: Flensborg————DanmarkGOLD MemberIn that case it is not a MK3 version.
With the pre-HDMI versions you mostly adress the DVI as PC – however, there are different versions there (of the BV7 without HDMI).

Was für Geräte hängen daran?
MM
Location: Flensborg————DanmarkGOLD MemberAs long as the tv has an HDMI input port, that should be fine.
Just connect with a good HDMI cable and configure the device with a mobile phone/tablet….
With the Chromecast only picture and sound is shown/heard – all controlling happens in the sending device (apart from the volume control).
With the B&O tv you will have to assign a command/button on the Beo4 in order to turn on the tv to the right input.

Location: Flensborg————DanmarkGOLD MemberHi scanorama99
There were several threads in the (now) Archived Forum 2, where there was talk about this.
See here:

The Willy, who is mentioned there, is not on Beoworld.
However, he is active in the Beotalk YT show – you may be able to contact him via the show or his social media.
But…..maybe another member will be able to provide more details.
It does not seem to be that hard, if you have some technical skills.
MM
Location: Flensborg————DanmarkGOLD MemberThere is a Service Manual for the 1624, which on the first pages gives you an overview of the ‘buttons’ of that remote here:
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1104340/Bang-And-Olufsen-Beo4-1624.html#manual
MM
Location: Flensborg————DanmarkGOLD MemberThere are several different versions of the Beo4 – and also different sw versions.
If you do not find the wanted entries in the List (by ‘adding’), they won’t be there. A ‘reset’ will not help.
So hard to say, if we don’t know more about version/sw version.
P.S. e.g. N.Radio came later, when it was needed for the actual current Beo-product. However N.Radio is the same code as Phono….if you have that on your Beo4

Location: Flensborg————DanmarkGOLD MemberWell, I must be the only optimist around
No, you are not….I just find this kind of rhetorical questions a bit over the top.
Not worth spending much time answering IMO

Location: Flensborg————DanmarkGOLD MemberDouble post
However, the other one disappeared ?
Location: Flensborg————DanmarkGOLD MemberThanks Keith for the continuous improvements !
I totally agree ?
MM
Location: Flensborg————DanmarkGOLD MemberHenrik fra BOTF nåede også at få ‘nyheden’:
MM
Location: Flensborg————DanmarkGOLD MemberThanks!
Which means, that they offer these new earbuds before B&O has launched them officially.
’Soul-stirring sound’…..that must be amazing ?
MM
Location: Flensborg————DanmarkGOLD MemberWhere/how did you find the pics/information?
When I try searching for Beoplay EX via the Support page, there is nothing.
When I try via the Google picture result, I – on the B&O site – am greeted with a request for logging in…..which never happened before.
