In that case it is not a MK3 version.

With the pre-HDMI versions you mostly adress the DVI as PC – however,  there are different versions there (of the BV7 without HDMI).

Du kannst den USB-eingang des BM5 für eine externe Soundkarte – genauer gesagt einen Behringer UCA222 – nutzen.
    Z.B von hier:

    https://www.thomann.de/de/behringer_ucontrol_uca_222.htm?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIq5390pyU9wIVSON3Ch1Wiwd1EAQYASABEgJYq_D_BwE

As long as the tv has an HDMI input port, that should be fine.

Just connect with a good HDMI cable and configure the device with a mobile phone/tablet….

With the Chromecast only picture and sound is shown/heard – all controlling happens in the sending device (apart from the volume control).

With the B&O tv you will have to assign a command/button on the Beo4 in order to turn on the tv to the right input.

    Hi scanorama99

There were several threads in the (now) Archived Forum 2, where there was talk about this.

    See here:

    https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/30790/356657.aspx#356657

The Willy, who is mentioned there, is not on Beoworld.

However, he is active in the Beotalk YT show – you may be able to contact him via the show or his social media.

But…..maybe another member will be able to provide more details.

It does not seem to be that hard, if you have some technical skills.

There is a Service Manual for the 1624, which on the first pages gives you an overview of the ‘buttons’ of that remote here:

There are several different versions of the Beo4 – and also different sw versions.

If you do not find the wanted entries in the List (by ‘adding’), they won’t be there. A ‘reset’ will not help.

So hard to say, if we don’t know more about version/sw version.

P.S. e.g. N.Radio came later, when it was needed for the actual current Beo-product. However N.Radio is the same code as Phono….if you have that on your Beo4

Well, I must be the only optimist around ?

No, you are not….I just find this kind of rhetorical questions a bit over the top.

Not worth spending much time answering IMO

Which means, that they offer these new earbuds before B&O has launched them officially.

    @Emilos88

Where/how did you find the pics/information?

When I try searching for Beoplay EX via the Support page, there is nothing.

When I try via the Google picture result, I – on the B&O site – am greeted with a request for logging in…..which never happened before.

I’d call that a bug in the Plex app.

What happens if you switch to another app, before you turn off the tv?

    Hi Thought Police

It is nice to know more about your setup, your wishes and habits in using the system.

In addition to what Geoff wrote…….the solution that trackbeo mentions in his post would be one other possible solutions.

However this would require some additional hard (and soft) ware.

Roon is quite advanced – you will need to run a (Roon) server somewhere in your network (could be on the Mac).

Roon can play via Airplay, but that won’t bring you further.

If you want to play the files as they are, you will need an endpoint to connect to the 28’s and the network in that room. There are a lot of solutions for this out there – starting from a DIY Raspberry solution to totally overpriced.

And you will need the Roon app on a mobile device for controlling.

Yet another solution would be to have a DLNA server running on the Mac and point that to the music files on the Mac.

The Bang & Olufsen app has a section for playback of DLNA based music.

All in all you will have to deal with additional hardware and to learn how to cope with the stuff.
The great question however, is…..how much would you benefit?

Some people will say that it is worth it – other will be more hesitant.

My advice would be to start out with simply using Airplay to the 28’s from an iPhone/iPad that has access to your local music on your Mac.

Thereafter you can start to do some experiments (if you are not satisfied).

It will take some time to find ‘the right solution’……..and after all listening to the music must have priority over gear, that might bring a bit of extra to the listening experience.

Once you have the A9 it can be adressed likewise. IMO it wise have a unified, convenient way of playing back your music.

Note! When using Airplay your wireless network should be up to date and well working. You could use the wired network connection in your rooms for additional access points, if needed.

Looking forward to read about how you get along – the 28’s are an excellent choice for speakers.

    Hi Thought Police.

There would be multiple ways to do this.

However, the easiest way would be to do just as you – as I assume – do now with your Homepods…….use Airplay.

Properly setup and configured you will be able to reach the 28’s directly from the Airplay menu of the Mac.

    P.S.

May I ask, if you have concidered to have the 28’s in the ‘home theatre’ instead of the Homepod combo….assuming that those would be used for your tv?

They indeed would be great for movies etc.

Odd decision for a wifi network ?

Have you tried to give these access points the same name.

Otherweise it is hard to give an advice without knowing about how the network in general is configured.

    @Sandyb

    That might be true.

However, I also made this post in order to get the discussion about Beolink/Multiroom going again on this new site.

What already was shared, we – for good (or rather bad) reasons – can not know now…..at least not untill the old forum will be online again as read-only.

Also I remember that Kristian Klit (from B&O) a while ago in the comment section in a Beotalk video wrote that he would have a new document about this ready soon.

Maybe this is that….or something else?
