GOLD MemberThe Beosystem 2500 (and 2300) does not have masterlink, but you are right they can convert to masterlink with the use of the 1611 converter connected to the AUX socket of the Beosystem

GOLD MemberThen, my second of two comments: Could maybe the indent while citation is applied be decreased? Otherwise only few or even only one character is displayed. Please see also the attachment. I believe it is not easy getting all these browsers running / displaying things correctly, I keep fingers crossed …
I can add that this has not been like this all the time with the new forum. I first observed it in the post you are refering to, and I use the citation feature a lot
Edit: also have a iPhone SE 2020

GOLD MemberThere was recently a thread about the same issue for a Beovision 11 (same platform as the V1), and in the last post in that thread user Vikinger tells that ha had to take his BV11 to a dealer to have it updated correctly as the USB stick method was not working in that case

Also moved topic to BeoWorld Feature / Problem
I will bring them to the large format scanner and send them to you when done

GOLD MemberYou will need a 3.5mm minijack to rca cable to connect the Alexa and UCA222.
Be aware that you have to activate the A.AUX on the Beomaster/Beosound 5 for the music to pass through that to the speakers, so you can not voice control the whole process

GOLD MemberI was also a little confused about this at first, but there are some ways to achive this.
On the forum front page there is a thing called fresh topics
In the little forum drop down menu you can choose: Forum view -> Fresh topics
Or you can just use this direct link
https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/view/topics-freshness/
Hope this helps

GOLD MemberThe problem here is that the problem can be both software or electronics.
If you want to dive in to the electronic side of it I might have a hint here.
Since there are not schematics of these kind of newer products I have been looking at the schematics for Beolink Active and Beolink Passive just to see if anything obvious shows up.
It seems that for those the IR signal is connected to the microcomputer with only a resistor in between. The resistor is not likely to fail. However these units also has a protection diode to ground, and that could fail. A screenshot from the Beolink passive service manual to clarify what I am talking about
If you can locate a diode with the same purpose in the Essence you can meassure if it has continuty in only on or both directions whre the latter would indicate a failed diode.
Hope this can be usefull for the further proces of fault finding

GOLD Member(But I still can’t get IR control to work – annoyingly!)
Did you ever get any answer from B&O support regarding that issue?

GOLD MemberThe link wont work. it is on beoworld.org rather than forum.beoworld.org, it is from an old test part of the site which should not have been accessible.
Ok that explains the layout, but vierdly enough both me and the other member had acces and was getting notifications

GOLD MemberI have a thread that doe not have the correct page layout, and does not appear to be in any forum catgory. However I am getting notifications when a new post is made in the thread, and so must the other person posting do. The thread is here https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/topic/beocenter-2-cd-tray-belt/#post-29706
This has been resolved now
Thanks, I can find it now with the search funtion. But it looks like some of the most recent posts in the thread is missing, and therefor the direct link from before is not working anymore

GOLD MemberYou were right – the DIN connection was quite poor because of the recess in the casing. If I pushed it in more firmly, it gave a better connection.
Good to hear that was also the case with yours and ended up making it better

GOLD MemberOh, that looks cool. That’s in my bookmarks now, hopefully they will bring that to market. That’s exactly what I need, and if I understood it right, might also be able to bring datalink controls back to the Beogram 3000 I have connected to by Beosound 4.
Yes it will be very interesting to see what they might bring to market. The possibilities are endless, but in the end it may rely on a buisness case how many variations they end up making

GOLD MemberNot much knowledge about the Beosound Moment, but have noticed quite a few threads about dead tablet which might be a dealbreaker.
As for updates and software support for streaming services I would not count on it.
However if used with a NL/ML converter it is possible to t define which ML source the NL sources will be. So music from the moment can be set to be N.Music, or also a Video source which will free up the N.Music for other sources on the ML network
If you are patient I think Hall Audio is working on something togheter with Polyvection that could be what you are looking for. I am not sure if it has been mentioned much her on Beoworld, but there was an episode about it on the Beotalk Podcast on youtube not long ago https://www.youtube.com/live/_9yRGFLIepY?si=mdYDLxA3iMGvTSPy

GOLD MemberBased on this post the outer ring in the DIN connector has a separate wire on a Beogram 2000, so pretty sure that must be a ground connection https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/topic/how-to-wire-7-din-plug-to-beogram/#post-53422
My parents has the same cheap Riaa amplifier as you have (you mentioned in another post). I remember the first time I connected it there was some hum. I noticed that because the DIN connectors on the RIAA is recessed the outer casing on the wire DIN plugs can be a little fidely to get into the the connector. It was like it had to be alligned very precisly to get the connector get to the bottom. Hope that makes sense
I know your problem is not hum, but a bad connection can make all sorts of trouble, so maybe worth to try

GOLD MemberEven then, despite the Datalink protocol being design to have a Beogram and a Beocord on the same bus (only from a data bus point of view, not the audio), I don’t think the Beosound has kept that capability in its firmware.
It has the capability. That is what I have tested without the audio signals as mentioned in the first post. I think B&O has made it this way so datalink will work wheether the AUX connection is used with a Beogram or a Beocord, although only one at a time.
Datalink sources always drive the audio lines, and it’s up to the receiver to select which source to listen to.
Which means a simple “Y” cable can not be used to connect 2 sources, it would require an active device, that would select which of the sources audio is sent to the to Beosound.
And this missing source selection caused by only one physical AUX input might be the reason for this not to be a good idea to use with an Y-cable.
It could be interesting with an external datalink controlled audio selection switch for this purpose, but the number of people who would use it might be very limited since this scenario only applies to Beosound Ouverture and Beocenter 9300 as far as I can figure out.

GOLD MemberNormally I’d refer you to the service manuals (avail to Silver & Gold members), but here are screenshots from the relevant sections. I am not convinced that it is straightforward but if you can get it to work please come back and let us know how! BV11:

I would no be to sure that these stands are compatible. 12V on one vs 14V on the other. Two wires with twoway communication on one vs 3 wires with one way communication on the other.
You have to be very sure what you do if you try to combine these

GOLD MemberIt looks like attaching STL files is not working on Beoworld based on some other threads about 3D printed parts

GOLD MemberIs your BC2 a Mk1 or Mk2 version?
I think it’s a MK1 (no DAB and no sound when touching the buttons)
The Head unit is Type 2801 and the socket unit type 2811. SW 1.3 (both on the labels and in the service menu), manufactured 2004, so probably an early one.
