But you still need the +10K theater. I hope it is well received, but that’s a big first step for a “budget” system :D.
Correct… But that has always been the case for B&O in order to have surround. 8y ago I paid 6K for a 40″ BeoVision 14 just to have surround.
You don’t need to spend additional 10K in order to have surround! You can if you want to…
But the crazy thing about BeoLink Surround is that you can now add (your) A5/Level/Emerge/(Balance.. but pricy..) as surrounds. This opens a whole new market for B&O dealers. Bottom ticket for surround was the BL8. Now you can add entry level speakers for your surround experience; speakers that don’t have to be that powerful in order to have descent surround.
Karel.
There was an announcement in Oct 22 that some B&O equipment would be getting Matter… But we all know how it goes with B&O and software.

3 September 2024 at 09:09 in reply to: WiSA Beolab Receiver 1’s occasionally clicking on and off #58808You might have turned off the 5Ghz band of your router, but there is still the possibility that it’s the neighbour’s signal that is interfering. It’s not related to your BL4000’s. They have no idea that they’re connected through Wisa.
Pinpointing 5Ghz Wifi interference is not something that is easily done. Needs special software (and in some cases a dedicated antenna) and some serious knowledge of radio communication as 5Ghz is not only used for Wifi.

I wasn’t aware that the BeoRemote was Sony compatible.
The only TV that out of the box (and after installing an app on the TV) work are the LG Oled screens.I might be wrong but I don’t think that your TV will work with the remote… Kinda like saying you downloaded the latest Apple OS and want to install it on your Windows PC.

Price is per pair.
Speculation
I think that Mozart 2.0 has to do with the inclusion of the UWB on the A5.
UWB is operating in the 6Ghz spectrum and I think is that this band is used for stereo pairing 2 A5 together.Karel.
If a PR company sends out a press release for a new product (with lots op pictures and details) with an embargo for a whole month then that press release just begs to be leaked online.
I can understand that you embargo a press release for a week or less… but a whole month?
If my memory serves me right then I did the initial setup wired. In the web interface of the PM I could change its name.
Karel.Airplay does not support Atmos.
I have tested some different sources that presumably should be in Atmos.
- Apple Music, tracks marked with Atmos (same setting turned on my settings) shows as PCM 2.0 in the Theatre. I am playing this via AirPlay to the Theatre.
- Atmos sound files downloaded, they do not show as Atmos in the Theatre but rather shows up as: Channel allocation: 7.1 and Codec: DolbyDigitalPlus.
I find this rather puzzling, I was expecting they should all be recognised as Atmos by the Theatre.

Airplay does not support Atmos. It reverts back to stereo.
The Atoms AppleMusic file has to be streamed directly from an Apple TVKarel.
Just before summer bought an Balance + Essence remote for my appartement at the coast.
Yup.. It’s a bug. B&O is aware of it.

Hope that the money they save from not manufacturing the Edge anymore can be used to Mozart-ize the A9.
Who signed off on this?
If you are a cash bloated company where marketing has some spear headcount… yeah whatever.
But B&O? In survival modus, squizing every DK/Euro/Dollar into making descent products. Scrapping a product (Emerge) so it’s components can be used into other products, products who still have software issues… And now this NFT thing stuff?I need to know what kind of wheed they’re smoking in Struer!
The B&O seller in Selfridges told me (yesterday OCtober 20) that B&O is working on a software fix that can allow mozart based speakers to connect to BS-Theater. Could it be about a software update for Mozart?
It’s a public secret that there is software in the works that will let you use Mozart platform speakers (Emerge, Balance, Level) as “surroundspeakers”; but that’s not for the near future.
So no, the #DNAColletion refers to something else.Karel.
Don’t think the teaser has something to do with the Emerge. (Emerge without Mozart would be sooooooo strange…)
Last update was Sept ’19, version QM153E.0.8.2.015
Spotify & Youtube work. Netflix doesn’t; don’t know about the rest.
However… Attach an AppleTV 4K. Much easier, fully integrates with PUC and future proof.Karel.
Also.. Have a look at the BeoSound Level or Emerge. Both have a relatively small footprint.
