We now have a confirmed date for our ISP installation at the new office:
📅 Wednesday, 16th July 2025
-
ISP Installation: Our internet service provider will be setting up connectivity in the new building.
-
Service Interruption: Once installation is complete, BeoWorld will go offline while we update our servers with the new IP addresses.
-
Estimated Downtime: We expect the forum to be down for no more than two days. We’ll work around the clock to get everything configured and tested.
After this network cut-over, there will be a second, shorter shutdown when we physically relocate the servers into their new racks. We anticipate that will only last a few hours.
We’ll post reminders in this thread:
-
One week before the 16th July installation
-
One day before the installation weekend
-
Prior to the final physical move once those dates are set
Thank you for your continued patience. We’re looking forward to returning online with improved infrastructure very soon!

Unfortunately collection of items and their repair cannot be free when its out of warranty, the repair company does need to make a living 😅
I’m wondering what a repaired motherboard is worth in terms of reliability vs a new one…
There is no difference, generally video engines (even when in stock) are service exchanged. This means that there is a stock of repaired boards waiting to be programmed when ordered.
Your old video engine would be repaired and put into the pool – if repairable that is.Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire, UKFavourite Product: BeoGram 400xSignature: Multicare Electronics - Authorised Bang & Olufsen repair. My B&O Icons:GOLD Memberfly to Copenhagen and train to Struer
I think this is what I will be doing too.

We are looking at something like the following, if there are any other details that you feel could be added then please let me know.
Beolink could also be added to the relevant pages, something along the lines of Masterlink etc.

There is a shortage of motherboards (video engine) for the Horizon, this means that they are returned to the factory for repair – only after returning the faulty PCB does a repaired one get despatched.
Depending on your location, I would have expected field service to visit you and remove the PCB.

Several members, including Severed_hand_of_skywalker, have described the forum as “dying a slow death” with noticeably reduced engagement compared to more active channels such as Discord. At the same time, contributors like Millemis remind us that while social-media groups can be lively, they often lack the depth and permanence our forum provides—particularly for troubleshooting older B&O equipment. It’s disappointing to see other channels recommended in place of our own community.
Evan highlighted how our format uniquely supports living project threads—from Centa Penta build logs to restoration diaries—that simply don’t translate to Facebook or Discord. Meanwhile, Chris T observed that the slowdown in new product releases over the past decade has naturally led to fewer fresh topics here.
Reflecting on our roots, Peter reminded us how this forum grew into a go-to resource for B&O enthusiasts worldwide, powered by shared passion and expertise.
As you may know, it’s just over a year since Multicare assumed ownership of BeoWorld. Thanks to our site sponsors and paid memberships, we’ve been able to keep the prize draw running and organise factory visits, which we hope to hold annually (or at least biennially). We continue to work behind the scenes to bring further improvements to BeoWorld.

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire, UKFavourite Product: BeoGram 400xSignature: Multicare Electronics - Authorised Bang & Olufsen repair. My B&O Icons:GOLD MemberThe motherboard can be returned to the factory for repair. The repair partner should do this.
A couple of options before getting the repair done, you could try
Clear application cache, this can sometimes help.
Factory reset – This will stop you being able to login to google or any apps if they are still used.Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire, UKFavourite Product: BeoGram 400xSignature: Multicare Electronics - Authorised Bang & Olufsen repair. My B&O Icons:GOLD MemberHi,

If you click the image again you should see some arrows to go left/right – click one and it should show you the full size image.
Just working on resolving this. it should just show the large image when clicked.Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire, UKFavourite Product: BeoGram 400xSignature: Multicare Electronics - Authorised Bang & Olufsen repair. My B&O Icons: -
