Daft Punk – Random Access Memories – 10th Anniversary Edition.

If there is one album that deserves an Atmos mix when reissued, it must be this.
This is an album that I always liked…….the Atmos mix does not change that – it is gorgeous.

    N.B.
It is not labelled as Atmos in the album list on Apple Music.
Probably because not all tracks are in Atmos – but the main album sure is.

If there will ever be a physical release/a Blu Ray version of this, I’ll definitely get it.
Sounds pretty good on Apple Music, though.

    @c-larsen

Well, that (workaround) solved it – both devices are now PUControlable with the Beoremote again.

@millemissen Please try power cycling your device, then PUC should be working again. There is a bug currently that can cause PUC to stop working. Luckily a power cycle should fix it and should prevent the bug from re-appearing. We expect to have a SW fix out soon also.

    Hej c-larsen

I saw your post after having written my previous.
Thanks – I will give that a try.
Reading this I somehow recall that that is, what I had to do last time this happened.
Maybe I will have to ‘teach’ my wife how to do that (the outlet is pretty much hidden away)…..if it should happen once again.

I am glad and content that this a known bug – and wish you all the best killing this bug ?

Will report back once I am home and have done the power cycling.

    @10
    I did not change anything.
My configuration has been the same for a long time – basicly from the start…..because I though out pretty much how I wanted it to be from day one and I know how to.
PUC/devices have been the same all the time.

This occured after an automatic update.
    I had that once before.
This time while I was away – so I got an annoyed text from my wife.
Unfortunately she did not remember where the Apple remote was.
Luckily she was clever enough to take her iPad to cast to the CC dongle, which does work, but is inconvenient in the long run.

Resetting the entire Theatre setup in order to start from schratch is a h*ll lot of work, which I’d rather avoid. Also because the unit otherweise basicly does what I want it to.
The question is…..why does the PUC function stop working just because of an update?

Anyway thanks for commenting – maybe a total reset (and turning off automatic update) eventually will be the solution.
Maybe some time when I have a lot of spare time.
However, I bought this combo to enjoy improved sound and picture and not to tinker with setting up procedures.

Once again, again………I am experiencing problems with the PUControlling on my Theatre.

It seems there was a (partial) update recently – anyway after that update controlling of my TV/Blu Ray player does not work.
I did reinstall the PUCs including restarting just to be sure.
Everything works fine with the original remotes.

Anyone with this problem out there too?

It seems that PUControlling with the Theatre has no high priority.
Those who check the updates (before release) do not seem to use external devices with PUControl – maybe they just rely on CEC control or do not check with external devices at all (using only the LG apps).
Or they do not perform real life control.

Personally I prefer PUC, because it – when it works – is better than just using CEC.
Furthermore it is a feature, that B&O offers and therefore it should work.
After all PUC has been used for decades, they should know how to do that.

My wife keeps asking, why we had to have this unreliable tv – the former Avant 1st gen worked flawless.
Referring to the superiour sound qualities of the Theatre does not count much for her.
Would be sad to give up the Theatre/LG – but honestly I am very tempted.
    It is a PIA ?

    Anyone?

    P.S.
Of course I have send a report and the logs – now waiting for a reaction.
The current sw version is 2.5.3.141

Maybe – even if it is in danish – this thread from the late Peter Pan could be of interest for the viewers of this thread.

A wealth of information about the Beo4 and more there – please use google translate, if you need to.

(The m3 Millemissen’s great idea!) The M3 is wired to the home network and I use Beolink multiroom to play the record player

Actually the idea came from Henrik of the BOTF – maybe he even had it from a member of the BOTF.

So kudos goes to Henrik….I was just the messenger.

(I do this myself – with an M3 and the turntable well hidden away in a cupboard….because I seldom play vinyls.
    It works well, though).

Hi and welcome on the forum.

Most likely your BV7 is a MK3 version.
You can find the User Guides etc to the BV7
    here

As you see, you must register the HDMI port, you want to use for the ATV to an AV input and thereby choose which ‘button’ on the Beo4 remote, you want to use to activate that port.

The two HDMI port with cables are for the build-in DVD player and for the digital tuner (do not use these) – use one of the free ones.

    IMG_0528

if you want to use the AppleTV (which version?), you must connect it via a HDMI cable as described above/in the Guide.

You must log in to the box with your AppleID in order to get other/additional apps etc there……if it is a newer version.

Or you can simply Airplay to it.

The ATV must however, be connected to your home network (same as your iDevices) either with a network cable or via the wireless function, that you can configure in the menu of the ATV.
In order to control it, you willhave to use the small remote, that came with the ATV.

If you have further questions – after studying the Guide and having tried things out – feel free to get back with further questions.

Lots of posts on the old forum

Some like it, others not – is relatively expensive imo.

You can see the current playing radio station in the B&O app – not on the BROne.

With the BROne you have control using bluetooth – and this works only with the device the remote is paired to.
If you want to control another you have to switch to that (assumed the remote is set up for more devices).

Controlling through the app works over the local network and there you have control of several devices on the same page/through one interface.
However, they are still individually controlled – there is no ‘universal’ volume control of all devices.

    P.S.
Volume controlling groupwise is only available, if you use Chromecast for streaming and have made the wanted group of devices in the Google app.
This does not work in the B&O app.

Actually there is not much more to read about than what you already know from the box and the Masterlink Handbook.
It does what it says (no sw updates required ?).

A must have tool for those who still install/maintain ML setups.

What I could think of, is to make a (plywood or alike) insert….
…..something that lets you connect and halfways hide the conversion cable – and then stick your iPad with velcro to that.

I doubt that you can find a way to ‘Dremel out’ in order for the iPad and the cable to fit into the original mould.
But – who knows – maybe you will come up with a solution….to show here.

And yes it is a pity that you can’t use a newer iPad with the A3 – it was a nice idea and quite good sounding.

My own – with the original iPad – still works with Spotify and Radio Paradise/TuneIn (older versions)….at least last time I tried.
Nowadays it works as a clock and stays so……just for nostalgia.

What would really be interesting for me, in the future when the Theatre will work with Mozart speakers, is to use 2 A5’s as additional temporary surround speakers. The battery would allow for placement where a power outlet is not available.

It would be cool to be able to snap one from the tv setup for listening in the garden (BT or Wifi) and be sure that it would know it’s role as a surround speaker, once it is back again ?

Hi MM, The A5 does not allow feeding analogue audio into the USB-C port. However, it can connect to a computer using a USB-C cable and thhis will play the computer audio to the speaker, as well as charging the speaker. Kind regards, Steve.

    Hi Steve

    Thanks for clarifying.
