With regards to the boxed layout of the forum this was/is very much the initial “Look & Feel” of the site. What was important was/is to get the core functionality working correctly and remains my priority.
I can and have changed the font size on the forum, but not too much otherwise you get word wrap. Currently the main item which limits the width is the heading which currently is a fixed size image, but when I have the time that will be changed.
The initial goal was to allow the forum to work on as many devices no matter there size which is not straight forward, so this is my initial compromise.
What you can do in the meantime which I do is use the browser display expansion in percentage which works well, see below in Firefox for example.
OK, I have fixed the EDIT issue, I think..
Thank you for your kind posting..

Please remember that this is a “Phased Implementation” intended to provide members with a secure forum with other facilities to be added as the implementation continues.
No technical data has been lost from the other two forums and Archived Forum 2 (most recent forum) will go live in a read only format once I have secured it over the next two weeks.
The forum in use until recently will become the Archived Forum 2 which was the forum until last month.
This will be available in read only form once I have fully secured it.
Archived Forum will become Archived Forum 1 and as you say goes to 2012.
I noticed that you used a HTML tag <h4>
Currently users cannot use HTML code in their posts, but I plan to add some code to allow a subset of all the common HTML tags.
I will try and find time to do that in the next couple of days..
“Those are from the site BEFORE Keith built BeoWorld Mark I … and here we are testing Mark II
Hopefully owe will end up with two archives.”
I can confirm that there WILL be two read only archived sites fully indexed with Google.
Friendly BOTS are fine provided I have allowed them to crawl the site.
Most BOTS you see will actually be ‘web crawlers’ such as Google and Bing
Web Crawler bots use data provided by the webmaster (me) of the web site which is provided by a combination of a site map, robot.txt and the webmaster accounts on sites like Google.
Currently, I have set all crawlers not to index the forum until I have removed all the test posts over the next week.
I made the change for you.
As previously stated the new forum is a phased implementation and until all implementation phases have been completed you will need to login to either site separately. In other words they are not linked any more because the databases are incompatible.
As per my email none of your images have disappeared, but you and everyone else will need to clear your browser caches because the content of your cache is pointing to the temporary URL of beosupport.com and I have now transferred the forum to the live URL.
I have set the maximum image size to 4mb
In this thread Gold member Patcherley wanted the replies in a thread to be in reverse order meaning the latest post first.
Well, I have added some code which I think does what has been requested, but I would ask members to please test it.
If you look at this thread then the first post is my thread creator post followed by the latest post then the others in reverse order.
OK I understand what you are talking about and I have been thinking about a solution for this reverse sort in other areas too. I am still thinking about how to achieve it because its actually not that simple.
You said “Any reasons posts are showing oldest first.”
Well, that depends where you are looking.
What area of the forum are you talking about?
When you press the HOME button in the menu it will display the latest posts in order.
You can then press the link to the one you wish to view.
If you click on your image it opens a full size image in a light box.
Also, if you do that on an iPad or touchscreen PC you can zoom in etc..
