Dear Lee and Keith
dear communityMeanwhile, I was able to stop at my German post stop to collect the package from Beoworld. I unpacked the earset at home together with my 14 years old daughters and we were stunned the three of us. Myself, I looked at the device with a sense of nostalgia, thinking of the “old days” of portable device design by B&O, my daughters with curiosity because – born in 2009 – they had never seen such a thing, but immediately liked it.
I would like to express my gratitude to you for running the forum and for making my January shine in the silvery light of the new headset!
Best regards, Stefan
Dear Lee, dear Keith
I understand the reasons that drive your decision perfectly, nevertheless it makes me sad to see you leave a service that has rendered me support and advice for many years.
I share your impression that the B&O brand is aging with its users, and we will see where the changed consumer / buyer behaviour will lead the brand to.
To you both I wish the best for the years to come, remembering the good times you had with the BeoWorld community and not wasting a thought on the less favourable moments.
Best regards, Stefan
Question:
Is the sound you mentioning perceived while you are playing a CD, or when you are moving from CD to CD?
Is the sound perceived only when starting the CD, or also while the CD is playing?
Is the sound a mechanical clicking coming from the drive, or do you hear it through the loudspeakers?
First of all you need to make sure there are no “products” in the zone you want to remove, then go to the zones tab, right click on the the zone you want to to delete and the option to delete should be in that list. Stoobie
Thank you very much, Stoobie!!
Dear community
I wanted to share an update on above topic.
As no spare parts are available for the BeoSound 9000 any longer, my official B&O dealer was unable to repair the device.
However, I did find a gentleman in Switzerland who buys old B&O equipment and uses it to refurbish or repair “vintage” models as mine. In my case, they had to fix the sled, replace the MasterLink module and do some soldering on the amplifier. Works and looks as new! I paid EUR 330 for the repairwork.

Thank you very much for sharing – I have the same problem, and I know now how to fix it!
