Do yourself a favor and buy a proper Bluetooth transmitter and not the cheapo china garbage.
After multipe devices I finally bought a
Sennheiser BT T100 Bluetooth-Audio-Transmitter
and this was the first one that simply works fine as a transmitter. This is the only one I would buy again if it fails some day.GOLD MemberWonderful work.
Now you need to visit a shop with a Laser engraver to add the last bit of perfection 😉
GOLD MemberThe shelf with the white subwoofer just look superb! 🙂
GOLD MemberMy wife knows my incurable infection with the Beovirus. The original Bang & Olufsen shelf comes without lights.
That is glorious! Lovely and clean and a perfect way to neatly display your favourite smaller items 👍
Thank you 🙂

GOLD MemberMy wife knows my incurable infection with the Beovirus. But buying an ex Bang & Olufsen retail store display shelf for my home office left her a little bit speechless and laughing 🙂
The led lighting was installed by myself. The original Bang & Olufsen shelf comes without lights.
GOLD MemberHappy new year for all 🙂

12 October 2024 at 07:53 in reply to: Beoliving intelligence: Android App on Google Play Store is gone. What happened? #60047GOLD MemberHello Khimo team,
thank you for getting back to me and that the issue is solved!
Installed Beoliving on my new device and my blood pressure is down again to normal levels. 😉Maybe it would be a good solution to add a direct download for the IOS and Android Apps on your website or the Bang & Olufsen website, too.
GOLD MemberI’m looking forward to the web based tool, too! Very nice effort.
If it doesn’t need the latest and greatest browser to get accessed, that would be good solution to use older devices to control B&O even if their operating system doesn’t support any other apps. 🙂
GOLD Member? There never was an Essence with GVA? Which device did you mean? 😉
And did they exchange the physical unit or did they just flash the software of a non GVA version to it?
Is that even possible to override the software vice versa? That would be another good way to get rid of that annoying Google stuff.GOLD MemberThank you for clarification, again. 🙂
So for using Bluetooth from a mobile device I should be able to send it to another Bang & Olufsen NL device and can access it from there via B&O Multiroom.
GOLD MemberThank you, that helps!
And can you use your Beosound 1 GVA without Google talking or any voice prompts?
Can you pair Bluetooth devices via Bang & Olufsen app without the bad Google stuff?GOLD Membergaribaldi70 wrote:
I took a photo of these a couple of weeks ago when mine flew off too. I put it back on a took a photo of which way around it was but exact location may be slightly further to the endThank you very much! 🙂
GOLD MemberDoes anybody know where exactly these 2 parts belong on the Beolab 1?
Unfortunately they approached me spontaneously while removing the amplifier module.
I didn’t see them in the Beolab 1 service manual and I don’t want to take apart the second Beolab 1 just to have a look.Attachments:
You must be logged in to view attached files.GOLD MemberLuckily the Beolab 1 can still be repaired by Bang & Olufsen.
Had this a few weeks ago as one of them was destroyed after a thunderstorm.
Handling:
The Chassis containing the electronics needs to be removed from the speakers and will be shipped to the good guys in Struer and they where fast, too. 🙂
Repair costed me about ~ 630 Euro plus shipping to the dealer. That’s a much more convenient option than sending the complete speaker. If you have a B&O dealer somewhere around he should know the procedure.
GOLD MemberFor hue control, best way would be to start from scratch with their developer tutorials:
GOLD Memberto control e.g. Philips Hue lights, you need custom strings for lamps, scenes etc.
Found on the old forum:
https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/16848.aspxcustom string example from member BEOJEFF:
To gradually turn off the lights:
PUT /api/<username>/groups/0/action HTTP/1.1\0D\0AContent-Length: 39\0D\0AContent-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded\0D\0A\0D\0A{\”on\”: false, \”transitiontime\”: 3000}
To gradually turn on the lights:
PUT /api/<username>/groups/0/action HTTP/1.1\0D\0AContent-Length: 38\0D\0AContent-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded\0D\0A\0D\0A{\”on\”: true, \”transitiontime\”: 3000}
This means you could use a beautiful Bang & Olufsen Essence Wall or table remote for controlling your lights, light scenes or whatever. 🙂
The Essence remote must be set to “light mode” and you need compatible ML equipment that supports forwarding light or control commands to your MLGW.Endless possibilities as the MLGW can control everything(!) that supports these type of HTTP/JSON control language.
GOLD MemberAs the MLGW supports custom strings via HTTP/JSON etc. it is
– possible to use it with e.g HomeAssistant.
– control HUE lights
– Control all your B&O compatible equipment with ML connector through the Webinterface on Browser, Phone, Tablet
– etc.
– etc. There are some great minds here in the forum and outside working on this. Don’t ask me, I’m not one of them 😉
1 August 2024 at 17:11 in reply to: Bang & Olufsen and TCL announce long-term, global licensing partnership #57867GOLD MemberThis will not end well for B&O… it’s not only a dangerous but sadly a dumb move.
Let’s wait until we see Beolabs, Beosounds, Beovisions from a chinese brand.
