GOLD MemberHi Joris, see maybe this thread: https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/46773.aspx
I am sure there are more threads that you can find by hard googling :-). Using a tag editor can help you out. Album cover images should not be too large.
Let us know your progress!

GOLD MemberOr go for a nice luxuriously looking BV10-40, connect the BL8000s and have 3.0 surround sound!
Hoping this cheers you up a little maybe 🙂

GOLD MemberHello paddy2042, that is a bummer! I guess finding a second hand replacement BV8 is the easiest and cheapest way. Here in the Netherlands they get sold for sometimes just 50 euro.

GOLD MemberI am a fan of the Beomaster 1900, the first B&O product that I got close to at my parents in law: I now own a 4500, the last one of the series. Very nice product with lots of connectivity (and remote controlled).
Furthermore the BeoSound 5 – so different from anything else!
One more thing I really like B&O for: their careful design approach and use of aluminium and wood (I once saw photographs here of a modern BM5000 prototype with only the lower part of the sides in veneer, I might one day make a mod :-))

GOLD MemberHi CharlieWednesday, for best menu-control of my BeoSystem 3, I bought a BR1 BT. I think it is very elegant but a bit vulnerable for dings. It died once but I got a replacement (inner part) on warranty. The BR1 indeed is more difficult to use in the dark with its smooth buttons. I still think it is way better than a lot of plastic squeaky and flimsy plastic remotes other brands offer!
I bought a Beo4 ‘joystick’ later, and that is the one I use every day. Perhaps it is also because of the other 6 Beo4s around the house :-). I keep a couple of 1000s for spare in a drawer, and I have a Beo6 that I should get to work one day coming winter 🙂

GOLD MemberHello Ryan, good find!
Yes you can daisy-chain BL3s (edit: with a splitter), they have (edit) one Powerlink socket each. Direct or daisy-chained should not make a difference.
If you set up the 11-46 with the BL3s as front L/R, the TV will act as the centre speaker in a 3.1 surround sound system.

(Thx Beouser 19 – I was too fast on a quick google image search)

GOLD MemberHello Anders, the Core does not support any surround sound options. Your 7-2 would play the same stereo sound as the 8000s when connected in parallel to the PowerLink of the Core.
Check also this thread perhaps: https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/topic/beolab-7-1-als-mono-center-speaker-an-ouverture-anschliessen/.
Hope this helps! Regards, Johan

GOLD MemberHello James, nice purchase! Capacitor kits can be found here https://www.dksoundparts.com/product-category/beovox/beovox-2400-from-series-12/ (be mindful of what series your 2400s are). The forum has a lot of threads about fixings speakers. Depends on what you need/want to do. Hope this helps already. Regards, Johan

GOLD MemberHello Patrick, the regular 10-40 documents are on the B&O website too: https://support.bang-olufsen.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041518732-Beovision-10. For service manuals you need to be silver/gold member. Good reason!

GOLD MemberHello Cass,
Powerlink and Masterlink cables and -signals are not the same and cannot be mixed as such. So you will not find ML to PL adapters. Is it possible to run an ethernet CAT7 cable from the BS9000 to the Almando?

GOLD MemberHmm, I played around that post a bit and found that Safari opens a tiny representation of the image, but I can somehow toggle to a better view also.
In Chrome it is not great either. Funny!

GOLD MemberHello!
Yesterday I made a reply (a silly one) with added screenshots, directly in the text (I am not a fan of the attachments). BUT they turned out tiny! What am I doing wrong?
The images used are (modest 57KB) JPGs and seem ok in my viewer. Am I doing something wrong? I think also Millemis tried to add screenshots that also show tiny (at least in Safari on Mac).
Thanks for any help 🙂
