Done!
Hi Steffen,
Catching up on this thread has made my day! Like Christian I’m very interested in getting my two 5000s working again – would you be able to pass on the details of RS Baarstrøm?
Hats off to you Christian – very nice work!
Latest, incredibly heavy, addition to the collection! I’ve always wanted a Beocord 4000 Video since first seeing one in the ‘From Vision to Legend’ book. And lovely to have the circuit diagram too 😀
Just need the camera and some B&O 1/2 inch video tape now!
Just reading this delightful news and wanted to wish each of you well for the future!
Interesting idea! The Beolink 7000 has a similar conductive strip between the board and the transparent display. I hope one day someone cracks this problem!
Have to say @matador – that *clack* when the magnet connects is terrifying ?
Nervous times adjusting, but all moving freely now – waiting for the epoxy to cure.
It seems like it’s becoming more sporadic when playing CDs – I have a laser unit from another BS1, maybe I’ll swap it and see wha happens!
Thanks @matador – I’ve been looking for a set of these for a while and am looking forward to getting them restored and connected to my Beomaster 6000!
So it looks like I’ve got to do my best @matador impression and create a glueing jig as two of the 8 woofers have detached magnets 🙁
Can I ask what glue you used to reattach them?
For the other 6 I have added a bead of epoxy round the join, as I did with my S45-2s, to hopefully stabilise them.
Thanks @ajames – that’s where my mind was going in the absence of any specific brackets!
@matador is there a specific way to mount these speakers on a wall? I’ve searched but can’t find any specific info on brackets, fixings etc.
Great thread – just acquired a set of four P50s and look forward to seeing what state they’re in when I collect them!
That’s my concern also – I have the wall bracket for the Beomaster 1200, however, the base of that is metal, not plastic like the Beocord.
I’ve messaged you Henrik
Thanks Henrik! My investment in a 3D printer has paid off – even knocked up some studs to keep the baseplate on!
Thank you Martin ?
Thanks Martin – I’m guessing that’s why the Beolit 600 ‘dies’ when bluetooth streaming is initiated when running on batteries.
The Beolit 1000 works (so assume not positive ground?) – but there is noise that isn’t there when the module is powered separately – could this be ground related?
Thanks artig – I used to have something similar for my iPod back in the day, however, I’m looking for a solution that doesn’t rely on an external power source.
Very nice! No idea what makes that particular 1500 special, but I grow more envious of your collection with every picture! 😀
