If nobody has ever tried… My dealer (who is multibrand) proposes me to test with his demo 55C3. I’ll keep you informed, but if somebody knows that it’s not possible, don’t hesitate to react!
I’ve got new feedback from B&O headquarters.
For them, it’s not possible for 2 reasons, but the reasons doesn’t seem to be valid :
- Mechanically the cutout is different : of course, but as I said, as the newer panels are smaller, they can fit, there will just be a gap…
- Eclipse Gen 1 doesn’t support eARC : here I can’t understand, as the only way to connect the soundcenter to the C7 panel is to use the HDMI2, its only ARC HDMI input ! The Eclipse mkI already used ARC, and eARC is retrocompatible with ARC speakers…
It’s possible to reorganize the favorites :
touch the « 3 lines » logo on the upper right corner of the stations list, then touch the « modify » button (or reorder, I’m translating myself from the app in French) and then play with the order of the stations by moving them with the « 3 lines » button on the right of each favorite.
Hi Lee,
it’s been a while since I last saw you on this forum! Thanks for the help, but the HDMI is in its correct place (HDMI2, eARC). I also tried changing the hdmi cable for another one, with no success.
The RJ45 cable is a bit directional as there is a 90º connector on only one side (screen side, to let some space for the cover).
Now I’ve managed to get the soundcenter working, I don’t know how. And I suspect the OLED panel has been physically damaged, which could explain the power supply turning on and of after quickly displaying just a half line of pixels.
After some thoughts, as the tv is clicking « on », displaying what looks like just a half line of pixels, and clicking « off » forever, I think that the problem is the power supply unit of the LG panel.
But something makes me think it can be another thing : I cannot use the pure audio functions of the sound center (airplay seems to be working on my phones as the Beovision speaker is selected and I can change the volume, but there is no sound at all…)
Yes, the soundcenter is connected to the LG panel via HDMI ARC which is designed for that, as it means Audio Return Channel.
To me it is the first portable Mozart-based speaker/soundsystem. MM
No, that was the Level!
Acoustical power (W RMS) have nothing to do with electrical power consumption (W)… that’s why you get the same acoustical power with less power consumption by going from class A amps to class D (ICE Power)
Sorry, it has wi-fi 6 ? Nice design, it seems to be powerful ??
No, it doesn’t have Wifi6 (aka 802.11ax), only wifi5 (or 802.11ac, which is more than enough to stream audio), UWB has nothing to do with Wifi, it’s another standard, the one that let you precisely locate an AirTag in your home for instance.
Hi, 2.1.50867 here for Essence mk II and A9 mk II !
Reordering works as expected, but it’s not very ergonomic : I thought a long press would allow to reorder station (like on your iPhone home screen), but you have to click to the radio menu, and then modify to access to reordering.
Listening to B&O radio on a (B&O) headphone just works, nothing to complain about.
Try to change the line input sensitivity under the sound settings.
P.S. Still a mystery to me what Matter support for the Mozart products will mean/bring us for our daily use MM
Simple : Matter is a standard, so if everything goes well, you won’t need any box like BLI or anything to control it (and create automations) via any home control system (Apple Home, or others)
Please also note that there is no way to reorder radio stations under B&O radio. If the order is important for you (you use it with a Beoremote and the numbers for instance, you must take that into account. If you already know all the stations you will add, add them with the last first, and all the stations until the number one.
The Edge and A9 mk4 were also on private sale last year… For me the A9 could just be upgraded with a Mozart board in the near future, it’s one of the best selling Beosounds. The Edge could be close to (at the Edge of? ) EOL as it’s more complicated for it…
The changelog seems quite limited for a big version step up (from 1.x to 2.1)!
On my side it seems that the volume wheel on the B&O app has finally been « recalibrated » so that the volume is not high just after the middle of the wheel.
1. Deezer Hifi or Apple Music or Tidal stream in lossless CD quality
2. Deezer (hifi preferably) : integrated to B&O. It allows you to browse and select music from the B&O app, but the B&O interface is limited in comparison to the deezer app. Why it’s better is because while you use your deezer account from the B&O app, you’re free to stream different music to different rooms simultaneously, and even to use the deezer app to stream another music. Maybe it’s a bug but it’s cool if you have a family and someone wants music in a room, someone wants another music in an other room and someone else wants music in the car…
3. It depends. Apple Music if you’re inside Apple ecosystem. Deezer if you want to use the quick access buttons on the latest products. Spotify connect is also nice.
4. Deezer Hifi if you’re à B&O nut.
What’s this thing?
Probably to protect the asset value of those 50 people who paid £10k for the first/only batch of BC4000C’s
No, because the first batch of 95 BG4000C was also based on BG4002’s! Two things for me : BG4000 is very complicated to be serviced AND BG4000 is a rare work of art that has to stay untouched.
Concerning the 2 PUC only, where is it mentionned ?For me, with 2 PUC connectors, you can usually get 4 IR emitters (I’ve got double emitters on one cable), the TV has just to use the same connector for 2 PUC, and there houldn’t be any interference issue as you’re just sending one IR signal to one device at the same time (the general power off can be delayed between devices) -
