If you have any problems on the site, then please report them here.
Also any “Constructive” feedback on other facilities or modifications to an existing feature, then please let me know.
10 September 2022 at 09:08 #32984Feature request: Add custom logic to attachment creation when the usual picture suffixes are used for attachment files, so that it asks (approx.), “Can I insert this into your message as a picture?”. Thus posters can say “yes” allow the pictures to be visible to anyone, or “no” to keep the pix invisible to folks not logged in. Forum websites that don’t allow visitors to see pictures are anathema — make this one at least *offer* to prevent this, because most folks won’t understand the difference. See the most recent thread where the poster almost certainly intended for people to view the TV on offer but mistakenly (I believe) attached the pictures as files rather than inserting them: https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/topic/i-want-to-give-away-a-beovision-5-fully-operational/
10 October 2022 at 19:00 #32985Good day Keith,
Not so much a problem but feature request/knowhow.
Q. How can I get the last post to a topic to be top of the page as default?
Cant seem to see an obvious answer.
Thank you
Well, you will be surprised to learn that is exactly how I had the forum setup when the new forum started. The latest post appeared directly under the question. However I had so many complaints that people apparently could not find the last post that I changed to it to what we have today.
It was for that reason I implemented the up an down arrows to get to the top and bottom of the current page.
I feel I am in a no win situation with this one!!

I access to the last post of a thread by clicking on the time mentioned on the top-right of the thread’s name.
Fast and easy!
10 May 2023 at 23:42 #32987Suggestion: If the manuals section had a list that was browse-able by any registered user, one could see whether a particular manual was available — if one paid for a Gold upgrade! (Not visible to un-logged-in users (or spiders), but directory listable to all Bronze&Silver.) It would be free advertising of the benefit Gold Membership brings! (N.B. I just resorted to scanning a (tiny:-) manual, because I couldn’t tell a newbie to upgrade and download it, with any certainty that it was even available.)
29 February 2024 at 19:49 #32988Minor feature suggestion: The “Report” drop-down list needs another item: “A.I. B.S.” E.g. user “maiti” which is merely sowing the ground of reputation with inoffensive but useless LLM crap, preparatory to creating whatever harmful post in the future.
18 March 2024 at 09:59 #32990According to Guy on this thread,
the post below had photos until a day or so ago (photos of BeoTime disassembly), and according to Guy the photos are today gone. Do observe that the rest of the thread below does have some photos.

Hello Mark.
It lools like the member status has not been transfered correctly on the forums. In the posts I have been looking at I only see bronze members where I know more than one of them were Gold members including myself.
On the main web site my member status seems to be correct.19 March 2024 at 08:41 #32992Thank you for letting me know, I have added to the action tracker.

multicare.org.uk19 March 2024 at 10:36 #32994Hi Marc,
Happy to meet you.
In the transition, I lost my avatar and the “Founder” mention which was previously added to my gold member status.
Kind regards,
Yann.

multicare.org.uk28 March 2024 at 08:09 #32998Hi,
There are a couple of issue that we are working on in the background.
Generally the interim resolution for this is to make sure you log out of beoworld.org and then visit archiveforum.beoworld.org.uk
I hope this works for you

28 March 2024 at 20:16 #32999Hi,
Forum is very slow today.
It takes at least 10 secs just to open a post…
Edit: and it took approx. 30 secs to submit this reply…
28 March 2024 at 20:19 #33000Same here 🙁

Still very slow for me by now.
Same lag as mentioned by Ravsted.
Yann.
29 March 2024 at 10:38 #33002Looks like we need to increase the resources allocated to the server.
Hopefully this can be completed in the next few days.
