Thanks to both of you.
I decided to change my setup because my BL5 fail on a regular 2 years basis.
One of them failed again and the electronics are gone on holidays in Denmark since March….
I’ve chosen fabric as my furniture is black lackered and wooden slats would break the harmony.
So for the time being and different reasons, 28 hold the match.
Let’s see the other Beoworlder’s arguments.
Regards,
Yann.
Hi,
According to B&O website, Contour is a stand-alone TV.
The Connectivity list does not mention Speaker outputs, nor Wisa.
IMHO this TV does not meet you wish.
Kind regards.
No way on a NAS too?
I have a QNAP model with the latest QTS.
Hi,
Very interesting video, thank you Hiort.
If I welll understand, Home Assistant needs an always-on computer or NAS.
Is there a solution to add Home assistant in an Apple TV?
Kind regards,
Yann.
Thank you for you help, Guy 🙂
Thanks Stan,
What you describe is what I experience with my Eclipse, mine is also on it’s second screen.
So for the time being, Theater wins.
Kind regards,
Yann.
Thanks, 10% 🙂
Hi,
According to the B&O website, BR1 can be paired with Emerge.
Check this:
Kind regards,
Yann.
Great book. Congratulations and have a good reading
Fully equipped 🙂
Hi everybody,
Greetings from Brittany
Sound Heavenly has an adaptor to use active speakers on passive speaker-out of you Beocenter.
Get in touch with Steve ir order to have DIN speaker plugs fitted (see at the bottom of the page).
Hi Keith,
May you please tell me my “rank” in the founders list?
Kind regards,
Yann.
Hi Keith,
Thanks for this information.
“Joined on Mon, Apr 16 2007”
I did not remember this date, time is passing so fast.
Happy to be one of the remaining 22.
All the best for Beoworld’s future.
Yann.
Hi Lee, Keith and all Beoworlders,
First of all, a million thank-you to Lee and Keith who struggle to keep Beoworld running. Please accept the testimony of all my gratitude for the invaluable work you have been doing for so many years.
When I joined in 2007, I was really happy to find a website dedicated to one of my passions.
Even more, I found here an inexhaustible source of knowledge and very pleasant dialogues shared worldwide.
Finally, while the level of so many forums approach that of the sewer, I have always found interesting and “civilized” people here. Voices sometimes rise, but always with respect for others and without personal offenses.
Perhaps a side-effect of our common passion.
So gold membership was an evidence… and prize draw the icing on the cake!!
Time has passed and things are getting tougher for most of us. I perfectly understand why change is bound to come.
So, I will also keep my membership as a contribution to the community.
One or 2 prize draws per year would be ok for me.
If Beoworld can find some sponsors, why not as long as the site keeps it’s freedom.
Long life to Beoworld!
And thanks again to Lee and Keith.
Yann.
Well, you will be surprised to learn that is exactly how I had the forum setup when the new forum started. The latest post appeared directly under the question. However I had so many complaints that people apparently could not find the last post that I changed to it to what we have today. It was for that reason I implemented the up an down arrows to get to the top and bottom of the current page. I feel I am in a no win situation with this one!!

I access to the last post of a thread by clicking on the time mentioned on the top-right of the thread’s name.
Fast and easy!
Thanks Steve,
Wise advice 🙂
Yann.
The BS3 has no SPDIF out like the BV9.
Robin,
BV9 has no SPDIF out. This TV is in fact a Beosystem 3 packed with a plasma screen and a center loudspeaker.
If you refer to my schemes, the digital connection to BV9/AV2 is used to send the multichannel signal of Beocenter 2 to the internal processor of BS3 for DVD playback.
You could make a test without the SPDIF connection to AV5 and have a single connection between Node and BL5:
- Selecting AV5 on BS3 in order to control Volume with your remote,
- Direct SPDIF connection from Node to BL5 to feed it with the digital signal.
Kind regards,
Yann
Hi,
You maybe can keep some integration.
I have a BS3-based BV9 (European version with scarts) and a BC2 (equiped of a coaxial SPDIF output) connected to BL5s.
My products are connected to AV2 and BL5 as per the Blue/Red arrows.
You maybe could connect your streamer as per the Green/Orange arrows) on AV5 and affect this input to an auxiliary source of your BS3.
My guess is that BL5 prioritize the coaxial input for signal processing and that the PL are used for volume control.
Just my 2 cents if it may help.
Yann.
Instead just install the app INFUSE to your Apple TV and it will play all the files natively and create a beautiful Netflix like interface of your video files.
——————————————————————–
I totally agree with you.
Infuse plays on an Apple TV 4k all my SD/HD movies saved in a QNAP NAS.
Beautiful interface and good recognition of titles for film profiles creation, event for “confidential” movies or serials.
