I’m used to “tap/press to join” with my older Beolink devices (BS 1, M5, M3, Core + Essence Remote), or, when no other source is playing, resuming a local source.
If the Classic mode is disabled, this no longer works (i tested it), a tap/press starts a local source instead and documentation says that a long press is required to join which not all device can do, e.g. BS 1.
Also, I’m used to uses long press where supported to shutdown all devices. Reason why I kept Classic mode enabled.
after 2.1.50867, the last selected local source is not played (if no source is playing in the link- room). – you can´t start the system with the beo4 join command without a running link-source.
This may be related to “Classic UI” being disabled in app settings/Beolink.
The “search radio” dialog box has been added (back?) in today’s beta.
I’m very looking forward to get radios reordering capability within B&O app, this is a regression coming from TuneIn where radios could be reordered from the TuneIn UI.
They really need to improve the radio search and give the opportunity to reorder the list.
With the latest B&O app, feeding B&O favorite radio stations with TuneIn favorites was somehow ok, even if I had to match some manually, BUT, the sort order is reversed in B&O radios following this process, which impacts the way I navigate into the radio list from my Essence Remote. I’ll have to build the B&O list manually to match the TuneIn sort order.
I didn’t read your very first message, sorry …. yes it is a pity that we can no longer take more advantage of this device after the most interesting feature (MoodWheel) has been broken and before all tablets die
that said, the step by step procedure does not work on mine. Tapping 4 times on the aluminums wheel does nothing but pausing/starting
Good way to give a second life to the Moment. How do you go back to the B&O menu?
ok cool…so the touchpad or tablet is not used at all?
Nope – no need in this case, and I don’t even have speakers connected to it (i just moved house and didn’t connect it back to speakers). Eventually I’ll connect it back to my wireless speakers shared with my BS Core through a Transmitter 1, in this case I may use the tablet to drive the volume when a Line-In source is playing, but the MoodWheel is sadly no longer useful for me.
I’m sadly using it only as a Line-In entry point for my BG 4002 and a Raspberry PI + Plexamp. Music is then distributed via BeoLink to my other B&O products.
According to the answer I received from B&O support, the volume slider should be added back in a coming release … but no date given.
I haven’t seen any beta since 4.0.1 and the public version is now 4.1.0, with brand new issues. Are any of you beta testing 4.1.x?
