GOLD MemberThe STL file is already there. Just not in the public domain.

GOLD MemberYou are forgetting those who already have a 3D printer – like me.
Frog
GOLD MemberI have no preference personally
Frog
GOLD MemberYes.
check out https://github.com/giachello. He has two integrations which I use (I have a ML Gateway) and works really well.

GOLD MemberYes, agree. A STL would be great.

GOLD MemberWell that was weird!
I tried what you did, switching from V.Master to A.Master and back again – and that changed the options of the ‘sources visible on ml’ to add line in.
so now all works as it should! I would never have thought of trying that!
For completeness, I have a ML Powerbox connected to the NL/ML converter and a Beomaster 5 as well as a BeoLink passive connected to some Beovox 1
thanks for your help.

GOLD MemberNot sure what version the Beolab is (I have 2) but pretty sure they aren’t the MCL versions. It’s difficult to look as they are bolted to the wall near the ceiling.
im not sure what you mean about another video source? There isn’t a line-in on the Beosystem 4 – only on the NL/ML converter. I’m happy to use other buttons (DVD, A.Aux etc) for the beolabs – it’s just that the PC one was unused – but any one would do!

GOLD MemberThe role of th NL/ML converter is V.Master (I have a beosound 5 in the system too.
In the NL/ML gateway, I assigned Line In – and I know it works because the Beosystem 4 can stream. I’ve tried assigning it to PC and while I can switch the beolab to PC, it doesn’t stream.

GOLD MemberNo, I’m trying to send the music from a Chromecast audio connected to a ML/NL converter via the Line In phono connections. The signal should travel along the ML cable to the Beolab 3500 – but it isn’t. It seems to get to NL connected devices OK.

GOLD MemberStrange… my B&O repairer (AV Services) say that B&O have an exchange programme for the chassis – it’s returned to B&O and they send a refurbished (and programmed one) back. I suggest you ask your dealer to talk to B&O.
Frog
GOLD MemberOne of my Beolab 5 has gone faulty. What happens is that when switched on, it emits a tone (sort of mid-range) then cuts off and the light turns to a flashing red.
I’ve left it off for an hour or so, but still has the same ‘feature’
what could be the diagnosis – worst case, I’ll have to have the chassis replaced – in which case I’d do the pair just in case.
Frog
GOLD MemberI was hugely impressed with the build; I could open it while it was on the stand, and the modular approach of build was really impressive. The only weak point will be the panel itself and third-party electronics.
Frog
GOLD MemberReplaced the capacitor, re-installed – and all working again.
Frog
GOLD MemberFound the busted capacitor – it’s a EMI suppression capacitor that failed with much smoke. Not sure that this is the only component that failed as the screen did go off when the capacitor blew up, but I’ll put a new one in and see.
Frog
GOLD MemberActually – never mind – it came off when I was lifting it off the stand. It seems like it pushes up about 5mm then just pops out.
Before going to a B&O dealer or repairer – does anyone have a PCB04 Power supply for the Beovison 4-46 spare?
The PSU blew up spectacularly with a lot of smoke – and quite a smell so I though it would be one of the power capacitors, but having taken the board out, I can’t see any blown capacitors.
Frog
GOLD MemberRevisiting this – the power board on my Beovision 10-46 blew up and I’m trying to get access to the board (PBC04).
I’ve undone the 6 screws at the back, but can’t see how the aluminium frame and glass ‘slides’ off. I can’t find a service manual that shows the removal of this – so I thought I’d ask if someone had done this – and how did they do it?
Frog
GOLD Member..and what was that? Still can’t get the BBC on the beosound 5!
Frog
GOLD MemberI’d suggest firstly downloading the manual for the Beomaster 5 and beosound 5. What you are plugging in is just the screen (beosound5) power cable, you need also the DVI to HDMI cable and USB cables plugged from the Beomaster 5 to beosound 5 – so 3 cables.
really, check the manuals, then if there is still a problem, come back here and get some advices.
Frog
GOLD MemberThanks – I’m using ML and NL, so I doubt that these will help. I suspect that while DAB is still being used in the UK, I’m OK for now.
Frog
GOLD MemberThere was a concerning article in The Telegraph which said that stations would be moving to DAB+ in the UK (classic FM will do in January) although the BBC said they will support DAB for the foreseeable.
bit annoying that a DAB+ upgrade would cost about £700.
