Jealousy…
understandably judging by the prices on used B&O you have mentioned in other posts 🙂
As for the BC5000 it is completly dead,
Nothing B&O is ever “completly dead”, maybe the Beosound 3 and still, not always. Correct your post unless I will have to moderate it!
Let’s call it dead on arrival then 😉
20 June 2024 at 17:42 #56632The Playmaker is working 🙂 It is missing the stand though. Could someone measure the dimension of the stand material and the lenghts of the standing and lying part? Then I think I can bend something out of steel wire. Thanks in advance

14 August 2024 at 21:08 #58287Latest, incredibly heavy, addition to the collection! I’ve always wanted a Beocord 4000 Video since first seeing one in the ‘From Vision to Legend’ book. And lovely to have the circuit diagram too 😀
Just need the camera and some B&O 1/2 inch video tape now!
15 August 2024 at 12:25 #58301That is really incredible! a great era of hifi product design, very nice to see that there still exist some of them! 🙂

Fantastic machine 👍
I send you a mail about the videocamera.

17 November 2024 at 13:07 #60975Took a bit of work as the element with the buttons was cracked. I found a spare one on eBay – all good now.
Will soon be playing in my office for background radio music (streaming via AUX).
17 November 2024 at 14:31 #60977^ looks great in black. I have them in Blue, Red and Silver, so far … 😉
What SW version is it? 2.X with the built in clock? CD player working? (one of mine is intermittent – plays fine once it warms up!)
17 November 2024 at 18:16 #60989In 2024, a restored Beosound Ouverture as a main stereo system? Yes, I confirm! 😄

Thanks Guy! It is SW 1.3, so a bit older. And yes all works very well, apart from maybe a very clear FM signal and some of the red dots being a bit tired. Silver is very nice too I think, and wasn’t there an ice-blue one too? Regards, Johan
