I have now connected PUC controller for my Blu Ray player (Panasonic). I have also turned off CEC control to avoid double communication with the player. The PUC for the player is set to go in stand by “at source change”.
The problem I am experiencing is that when I turn the system on to watch “live TV” this also turns on the Blu Ray player so it starts to play in the background. Have you experienced this and is there a solution please?
2 January 2025 at 05:30 #62166I have also encountered a similar problem. it is best not to use daisy-chained links. Y-splitters is allowed , But if you don’t have any other speaker , I suggest that each of the 4 PL ports only corresponds to one speaker, Remember to restore to factory settings, It is important then pl1-lab5 pl2-lab5 pl3-lab3 pl4-lab3 It will solve your problem
6 January 2025 at 15:10 #62352I am getting a lot of hum from my BL3 speakers when using 5m cables. Both mk2 and mk3. The cables do not cross or run along powerlines. With 1m cables I only have a barely noticeable hiss. This I can live with but the hum from the 5m cables is much too much. Is the Theatre particularly picky about cabling? Or is it the Bl3’s?
I am trying to find a good way to do a permanent install while redecorating the TV room, so any suggestions are welcome. If possible I’d like to use the smalles possible diameter cable because this will leave me with the options for hiding them away.
6 January 2025 at 16:33 #62353Hi I did upgrade my BV11 to a Beosound Theatre with LG Panel, my intension to reuse my PL speakers, AppleTV, Samsung DVD and my BeoSound 9000.
During setup it did found my beolab’s I don’t get any music from them!!
Trying to figure out how to add my BS 9000!!
Any help/pointer would be helpfully.

Sven
7 January 2025 at 18:23 #62392Hi Kim, interesting you bring this topic up.
To my Theatre as rear and ceiling speakers I have four BeoLab 4000 speakers (not the ICE version) connected. The rear speakers are furthest away and connected with 20m cables (two 10m cables in extension). When speakers are turned on at very low or any volume I can hear a faint hissing. To be honest I am the only one noticing this but I still find it irritating.
I do not see any way around not allowing cables to cross each other, after all my subwoofer and front speakers also need to be connected to the Theatre and between them and the Theatre their cables run side by side the cables for my rear speakers. Everything has to be connected to the Theatre.
I thought it might be due to by BeoLab 4000 speakers not being digital which could perhaps explain the light hissing as they are not of the later ICE version but as you have the same with your BeoLab 3 I suspect that is not the issue. As a comment, my front speakers which are BeoLab 1’s (ICE) do not have the faint hissing but then again the cabling to them is much shorter as they are front speakers.
I even tried a set of Beolab Receiver 1’s with 1.5m cables for the rear speakers. That helped but as I live in a larger city with many wifi access points the setup on the other hand suffered from the occasional drop-out (noticeable by the speaker relays clicking off and on). B&O support checked my system and said they would not recommend using WiSA as I have too many wifi signals in my neighborhood so I went back to the cabling.
Does anyone else have experience with this?
7 January 2025 at 18:29 #62394Hi Sven,
To connect your BS9000 you will need a NL/ML Converter but even with this integration is not optimal. If all speakers are connected to your Theatre you cannot just press e.g. “CD” on your remote, you need to start the “CD” session on the NL/ML Converter and then “JOIN” this session with your Theatre and then you can change track etc. Alternatively you can connect one of the outputs from your BS9000 to your Theatre but then you cannot control the BS9000 through the Theatre.
For your speakers to play you need to have a “Listening Position” where you speakers are acrivated.

I have a NL/ML converter as used with my BV11, but how to start the ”CD” session on the converterRegards
