yes, familiar with that picture (guessing its the same)….looks incredible, though not an exact setup I can replicate chez moi.
I’m getting a wall panelling (system) for my instal – some nice grey elm – and the TV and Theatre will be hung on that wall panelling, which should provide a fab backdrop. Low slung cabinet beneath.
Much tinkering (still finalising) to be done with exact spacings etc – but will post pics when done. Should look super slick (thats the hope anyway!)

3 December 2022 at 11:36 #37744it’s pretty low, about 40cm floor to top of BST.
The TV is on a mount that can take it about 80cm out from the wall. I like to do that when sim racing, gaming, or for that home cinema feel to make the screen appear bigger. So in order to still have line of sight to the BST’s drivers, I’ve mounted it with some extra clearance to the TV.
3 December 2022 at 19:16 #37745With the fantastic new Theatre proposition, I think it is interesting to see how the audio and video signal management, and also audio and video reproduction have been going around various ‘cabinets’ over time:
From the ‘norm’ (I trust that there are historical exceptions) that everything is integrated in one cabinet to separable cabinets: (trying to be complete)
AV9000 – audio&video management + video reproduction in one cabinet, separate speaker cabinet (with VCR though)
BeoVision 4/12 – audio+video management in BeoSystem 1/2/3/4, separate screen, separate (center) speaker
BeoVision 7 – audio+video management & video reproduction combined, separate (center) speaker
BeoVision 9 – audio+video management in BeoSystem 3, audio (center) and video reproduction combined in one cabinet
BeoVision 5/6/10/11/14/Horizon & BeoPlay V1 – all in one
BeoSound Stage/Theatre & BeoVision Contour/Eclipse/Harmony – video management & reproduction in one cabinet (TV), audio management and reproduction in one cabinet (you could argue the Contour has no easily separable cabinets, but I believe the screen is actually a complete LG TV)
It looks like that first the speakers were isolated from the AV management, then later also the screen. Then it all came together again. After that the video management found its home in the screen, and the audio management in the center speaker. Which sounds quite logical to me!
I am using a BeoSystem 3 with an LG C9 and a BeoLab 7-1 center speaker, but actually only use the audio management and PUC control of the LG. All video management is with the LG. Bigger cable salad! 🙂
Just a thought.
5 December 2022 at 15:23 #37746So yesterday my Theatre stopped outputting video to my LG TV. After an hour of troubleshooting I figured out that the problem was the ARC cable supplied with the theatre. I think I’m not the first person to have this problem with the cheap cable. My suggestion is to replace it with a good cable proactively.
5 December 2022 at 17:40 #37747I replaced my cables, too. Those cables that came with the Theatre are unreasonably short. I found that I had to place the Theatre on a piano bench next to the wall in order to manage the cabling while getting it mounted on the wall.
A problem that I’ve recently been encountering is that if the TV and Theatre off for a long time that the Theatre does not turn on the LG TV. However, if they’ve recently been on, the TV turns on with no problem. I have the power saving on the TV off so that the B&O app can work. Has anyone else encounter this issue?
6 December 2022 at 00:43 #37748I am having similar problems. Sometimes it takes a long time for the LG to turn on and the screen displays a message that it is not connected. Also sometimes sound comes on but no picture. And, sometimes when act rolling through channels or ffwd or rwd a recorded program the screen will become non responsive to the BR1, then go blank and say Theatre has disconnected, then screen comes back and says reconnected. I have sent logs to BeoCare and videos of how the TV acts. They say they are working on it and will get back to me.

6 December 2022 at 18:58 #37750I had to put electrical tape on the wall bracket to fix rattling. The metal to metal contact would rattle when playing loud low frequencies (like the room calibration boops). All is good now.
6 December 2022 at 19:17 #37751you’re not the first – a few people over on the Discord side have had to do the same.

check you screen setting in the LG panel
List >> option >> (LG osm) >> General >> devices >> TV Management >>
activate Quick StartMay or may not solve your slow startup problem?
6 December 2022 at 20:03 #37753Yes. I have the Quick Start enabled. I remember there was another setting that I disabled in order to turn off the art gallery screen saver. Otherwise, Standby would not actually turn off the screen and it would just show the art gallery.
6 December 2022 at 20:12 #37754I was wondering if the P-Mute (picture mute) was working on the Beosound Theatre?

6 December 2022 at 21:25 #37755I will check this later, thanks! I do not recall seeing this setting. I do have an “always ready” setting that can be used with or without wallpaper. When I turn it on, the Theatre does seem to turn on a bit quicker. However, sometimes a short time after turning the Theatre off, it will turn back on by itself.
6 December 2022 at 21:34 #37756I possibly found what was causing the issue of the TV not turning on. In the B&O app, after scrolling down, I saw a message asking me if I wanted to enable B&O mode on the LG TV. I KNOW that I had already done this. However, perhaps the update to version 2.3.4 reset this setting to prompt me to do it again.
6 December 2022 at 21:42 #37757Typically, what volume are you all using through the LG TV (obviously depends) but I am fairly close with the volume at 43-46 and the dialogue is pretty weak. A character also knocked on a door with the scene on the inside and the knock was barely audible. Other elements are fine such as action, score etc. I checked the app and the position is correct and sound setting on movie.
6 December 2022 at 21:50 #37758I will check this when I get home.
I did receive a follow up email today from BeoCare that indicating they are aware of such problems and are working on it.7 December 2022 at 02:16 #37759Tried Quick Start. It did not solve the problem. Thanks for suggesting it. I am not sure how I had missed that setting.
7 December 2022 at 02:17 #37760How do I enable B and O mode? App shows connected and I do not see an option to specifically enable it.
7 December 2022 at 11:26 #37761Is it possible to have the BST play music without hijacking the TV?
If the kids are watching a cartoon and I select the BST in spotify it will turn off the TV and start outputting spotify audio.
