Hello Johan,
Here are my ideas (with no guarantee of success)
I would create a small ML network including the 3 items use a ML distributor if you have one).
Beocenter 6 has the speakers, so I would set it on Option 2.
Beocenter 2 set to Option 0 so that it is controlled by the BC6. If needed, a scart cable may distribute the video for DVD.
BS3 could be seen as a link product placed in the main room. So option 4.
All video inputs of BC6 disabled except the one connected to BS3 and SCART if you use it.
In BS3, do not use these input names for it’s video sources.
Then the problem is to control the BS3 sources.
BS3 can be “called” with command Link + source name, which can be added in the Beo4 list (eg L-DTV2, L-V.AUX…).
As an alternative and if you have a spare Beo4, you could program it in order that it only sends Link command (access to “Config?” as you do for option programming, press 2 0 0 2 then Exit – Same way to turn the Beo4 to normal mode).
I hope it helps. If it doesn’t, look at the Beolink Handbook link available on the right of this page.
Yann.
Ok, Thanks.
Thanks Martin,
I found the belt on Beoparts, but I absolutely don’t know where to find the teflon oil.
Is there a brand/name that you can recommend?
Kind regards,
Yann.

Test done:
BC9500 / Tape2 out connected to Wiim Line-in.
Played a tape on Beocenter, muted the speakers.
On Wiim: selected Line-in as source and Homepod as renderer.
Works fine.
2nd test done: Phono to Theatre/BL50 in main room: Ok.
Jon, thanks again for your good idea, I can now enjoy my LPs in my living-room’s couch 🙂
Have a great week-end,
Yann.

It’s a test.
But this is what I can do on the Wiim Home app.
On this test, airplay reciever is a BS1.

If I well understand your project, you plan to connect an output of the Beocenter to the line input of your Wiim in order to send the signal through an Apple Express to a pair of 6000s in another room.
Assuling that you control the volume of the 6000s through the Wiim app, so I would do as this:
Connect the 5500 tape2 out to Wiim line in (note that tape-out is fixed line-level).
In Wiim home app, select line input or maybe Line-in auto detect (I have not tested this).
Turn the volume of wiim to minimum to avoid a bad surprise, then chose your apple express as audio output interface.
Play a CD on the 5500, enjoy (I hope) and let me know 🙂
I have a Beocenter 9500 and will connect it’s tape2/out to the line-in of my Wiim Pro Plus.
It may enable me to distribute the phono and tape to the rest on my system (ML and NL products).
Kind regards,
Yann.
The manual, on page 4 states that volume must be controlled by the source.
The Beosound Moment was wireless-enabled.
Yann.
Hi,
The Transmitter acts as a bridge between a wired source and wireless-enabled speakers.
So in my opinion, it does not act like a preamp and volume control is not supported.
Here is the user manual of the transmitter:
Kind regards,
Yann.
Maybe should we ask a delay for the 5.3 version availability?
Or at least explanations on the current situation.
Mr Andersen… Where are you?
Yann.
Done!
Let’s be positive and expect.
But as I’m a cautious guy, I think I’ll also send a request through the app 🙂
Yann.
is there a way to downgrade the App? This is the worst experience I made with B&O in years.
Assuming you are using ios, go to the testflight app, tap the app icon and scroll down to go to “previous builds”.
Having the same problems as yours concerning Nl and ML sources routed by NL/ML converter, I rolled back to version 5.3.0.230830 57759.
Before downgrading, I sent comments to the team and listed the missing sources.
I suggest you to send comments too.
Regards,
Yann.
Sirs, cool down please 🙂
MM, how to “ask” B&O to add a station?
Yann.
Hi Beoworlders,
I finally made the tests with Beocenter 2 in Option 6, which fixes the conflict caused by 2 audiomasters.
In NL rooms: all sources from Core and BV9 are available, Phono missing from Beocenter 9500 as this command calls N-Radio.
In ML rooms: all sources from BV9 and 9500 available, but no source from Core.
Connecting the Powerlink output of Core to the 9500’s Tape2 input would not be very practical as the Core will not recieve any command from the remote controls in Link rooms.
So the previous situation remains the least unsatisfactory.
Kind regards,
Yann.
I agree,
Still awful and uncomplete in terms of sources.
The new ecosystem relies on the app and this app becomes unusable.
I don’t understand where the development team want us to do. Bin our pre-Mozart investments?
Uncompetence or planned obsolescence?
Kind regards,
Yann.
Hi,
After test, here are my findings:
- The problem is due by the conflict between Beocenter 9500 and Beocenter 2.
- If I keep the 9500 only, I have access to legacy sources (Phono and A. tape) on the ML side, but no access to the NL ones: N-Radio (aka Phono) and N-Music (aka A.Aux).
- If I keep the Beocenter 2 only, legacy sources are replaced by NL ones.
I did not set the Beocenter 2 to option 6, as it’s NL sources could not be distributed in ML
So I conlude that the current situation is the least unsatisfactory as legacy sources are the less used.
Thanks for your help,
Yann.
Guy and Carolpa,
I’ve already swapped the ML and Din cables, as I have some spare brought from my previous home.
I’ll test your other recommendations tomorrow.
Thanks and best regards,
Yann.
Guy,
Yes, the Converter is connected to the TV/Aux input (the tape 2 is used for another purpose).
And Yes, that’s how I use to do: 1st BV9, then BC2, then link rooms one by one.
I’ll make another powering sequence tomorrow.
Kind regards,
Yann.
Hello MM,
I also use the 5.3 beta and followed the track shown by Sandyb. Here is what I found:
Tap the 3 dots to open the settings of the theatre.
Tap Beoremote (1st item of the list)
Tap the remote coupled with the Theatre
On the list at the bottom, tap “list of the remotes” or something like that.
It’s there.
Kind regards,
Yann.
Thanks Sandyb.
So within the app, once you have paired a BR1 to your Theatre, the separate settings section on Sources allows you to pick and order your Remote List – both under the BR1 TV and Music buttons. It then syncs to the physical BR1, and works well, with changes made in the app reflected quickly on the handheld remote.
Sandyb,
May you please explain how do you choose and change order of sources in the app?
Kind regards,
Yann.
