Hello everyone!
Great news: I can enjoy my Beocenter again.
I reached out to a local (former) B&O dealer—the very same place where my father bought his first pair of Penta speakers back in the late 80s. I had reassembled the unit (putting the top cover back on) and planned to take it in for repair, but—would you believe it—it’s working again! I just hope it stays that way. Maybe it’s due to a loose connection or a crack on the circuitboard? But I think I’ll just leave as it is for now.If anyone happens to need a B&O specialist for equipment from the 80s and 90s, I think I can highly recommend “Bild+Klang Schilling” in Münster—even though, in my case, I didn’t end up needing the repair after all.

I just tried using the reset function while keeping the old battery (seemed to be ok), but unfortunately, there was absolutely no reaction to entering code 1271 as Guy wrote in the linked Thread, and the unit remains completely dead.
However, when I plug in the power, I notice the CD laser moving slightly and a very faint humming sound coming from the power supply area. When I unplug the power cord, the drive’s laser arm moves a little bit again, and I can hear a relay click softly. Maybe that could be a starting point?
Unfortunately, I don’t know how to interpret the service manual, because I lack the technical knowledge…
Thanks anyway for your input on this. I’m just hoping that someone might recognize my error description and perhaps already has a solution ready—after all, you shouldn’t give up so quickly.Regards, Max

I do still have a faint hope of being able to do the repair myself, maybe with a advice from the Forum . But it’s good to get a recommendation like this, since reliable Repairshops for old B&O-Gear seem hard to find here.

Many thanks again! Unfortunately, the keyboard from my seco nd Ouverture isn’t in such good condition, which is why I’d rather buy the entire repair set. Any advice on where I can get it? Does it have to be ordered directly from B&O?

Danke für die Antwort und Erklärung! Ich habe die Beosound mal aufgeschraubt um an die Tastatur zu kommen. Muss ich an das Teil auf dem Foto? Wenn ja, wie kriege ich das raus? Scheint sehr fest zu sitzen. Ich habe noch eine teildefekte Anlage (Tape, CD kaputt), kann die Tastatur von der einen Anlage in die andere getauscht werden?

Thanks for the answer and explanation! I opened the Beosound to get the keyboard. Do I have to change the part in the photo? If yes, how can I get it out? Seems to be very tight. I have a second defect Ouverture (Tape and CD broken), can the keyboard be exchanged from one system to the second one?
