I finally got around to cleaning it again and it worked like a charm, thank you so much! Having the sledge move so fast now is a game changer.
I had already cleaned it a couple times before with no success. This time I wiped down the whole aluminum surface, the prisms, and the glass with my glasses lens cleaning wipes supplemented with 91% isopropyl alcohol. I wiped everything multiple times and checked smudges on the glass by angling a flashlight.
