thanks for replying.

Basically I have done as suggested (no powerlink cable needed, only if you want to control the BM manually, at least that is what I read somewhere).

BUT

You made me check the cables, again.

Even though the Datalink cable I used started the TV/the radio, maybe not all the wires are correct?

I found another cable in the B&O stuff box, with 5 pins on one end and 7 pins on the other end.
From the cable I used before I could unscrew two of the little pins and put them on the other cable I found so it had 7 pins at both ends.

AND

the cable works!

PS: Next project will be using the BeoVision 11 and a BLC ML/NL with the Beomaster 7000/1611 combo…

Also an einen VESA Standfuss passt der BeoVision 10-46 leider nicht.

Es wird ein B&O Standfuß 4666 benötigt.

Type numbers are MK (meaning a certain type number is always a certain MK).

The ITEM number on the label – not stated in my post – reflects the more detailed data concerning country, initial configuration etc.

I need to know what Type Number refers to which MK version…

Option 2: BeoLab 9 fronts, BeoLab 7.2 center, BeoLab 3 rears. No subwoofer included.

My choice – I had a Beolab 8000 + Beolab 2 combo before and the Beolab 9 without subwoofer is the better choice.

I suggest a Beolab 7-4 as center speaker (run this in my cinema room with Beolab 4000 as rears).

(In the living room I have a Beolab 7-2 with Beolab 9 (and 8000 as rears) and I feel the Beolab 7-4 in the cinema room is the better choice – not sure if this is due to the room?)

Before installing my newly acquired BLC I wanted to install the latest software (it runs on version 1.4.0.18322).

Just learnt it is not available for download anymore.
It is a shame, it does not update anymore by itself.
Since I do have the software itself, I’d just need the Service Tool MK2+ to install it.

Any chance this can be provided by someone on this Forum?

bin nur noch selten hier, daher erst heute die späte Reaktion.

Ggf. hast Du es selbst lösen können.

Grundsätzlich ist der digitale Anschluss der Besound 9000 nicht die gewünschte Variante, denn der Converter sollte dazu diesen, mit der Beosound 9000 die Lautsprecher am BeoVision (bzw. am Beosystem 4) zu nutzen.

Daher sollte es eine Frage der Einstellungen sein…

Ich hatte ein ähnliches Setup und dies funktionierte einwandfrei (Beosound 9000 an Beosystem 4 via Converter). Es ging sogar soweit, dass man mit dem Converter 1611 ein Beosystem 7000 mit Plattenspieler nutzen konnte. Aber das ist sicher eine andere Geschichte.

Hallo Dark_Aqua,

ich habe im Arbeitszimmer zwei Beolab 3 zusätzlich am BeoVision 11 – mit einem Subwoofer (S8).

Das passt sehr gut.

Beolab 4000 hatte ich vorher dran, auch das war ausreichend.

Mir war immer wichtig, dass die Lautsprecher an der Wand hingen.

Viel Spaß mit welcher Entscheidung auch immer.

unfortunately this does not change the behavior of the Essence.
Was on 12 hrs, now on 24 hrs, but still turns off after 6 hrs.

In einem weiteren Menü musst Du dann noch die Funktionen zuordnen.

Zum Beispiel: an PL1 links ist Beolab 18, der soll als Vorne links Lautsprecher fungieren.

Idealerweise sollte dies in der Anleitung zu finden sein.

Guten Tag,

ich komme von Beolab 8000 (Fronts) mit Sub Beolab 2 und bin auf die von Dir genannten Beolab 9 umgestiegen. Der Unterschied ist gewaltig. Wir haben allerdings aus Designgründen die Beolab 8000 als Rears im Einsatz.

Bei Almando kann ich leider nicht helfen.

Wir setzen ein Beosystem 4 ein, der Umstieg von Beosystem 3 hat für uns auch einen großen Unterschied ausgemacht.

Center ist übrigens ein Beolab 7-2 (bzw. im zweiten “Kinoraum” ein Beolab 7-4 (der wäre vermutlich zu beovorzugen, passt aber nicht ins Wohnzimmer Setup).

Viel Freude mit dem neuen Setup.
