Last piece of insight was there was no listening position setup that didn’t benefit from having the BL19 added. So to me a BL19 should always be providing the subwoofer role, unless you are lucky enough to own 50s or 90s, even with the Theatre’s incredible bass and the bass of the 28 the 19 added richness that you can hear and physically feel. I know in the Sound guide it states 28 take bass from the 19 but in the real world to me that slightly larger subwoofer size is needed to most people’s setup.
Is it recommended to have a BL19 even if you have a pair of BL28 which should have a build in bass?
Im currently rocking BL18+BL19 as fronts but I’m considering replacing them with a BL28, but as I read it you recommended keeping the BL19 even with the BL28.
If you are thinking of the LG G series own wall mount, and therefore separated from the Theatre, then no there is no easy way to hide an ATV (low board / cabinet would be required). I think if you have the Theatre wall mount and joining interface with the LG, then there is space behind to hide an ATV. But thats a motorised wall mount, and together with the interface back plate, awfully expensive. STB make a non motorised wall mount for the Theatre and LG – but (to me at least) it sticks out from the wall a hell of long way.
I think I would need to find a solution with the motorized floor stand. Either attaching the ATV to back or if possible hiding it away on the back same way as with the Avant but I don’t know if that is remotely possible.
There is no way you can hide an ATV behind a wallmounted LG….unless you’d make a hole/a cave for it in the wall. It makes much more sense to connect it directly to the Theatre (and use the PUC). I can assure you, that you can control the ATV just like before – I do that every day. MM
If you connect the ATV to the Theatre does the Theatre have a place to hide the ATV so you don’t see it or does the ATV has to visible?
With a floor stand I can place the ATV on the back of the TV but not with the wall mount. I don’t have the hole the in the wall to hide the ATV.
Are you able to hide yours away?
I went to see the LG screen yesterday and the dealer told me that IF I wanted the larger 83” then the screen would fit the motorized floor stand as long as the weight of the screen was below 43kg.
is that correct? Would the screen brackets etc really fit the motorized floor stand if the screen is bigger than 77”
Should I decide to wall mount the screen instead then I can definitely get the bigger screen.
I use an Apple TV for my Avant and would prefer to do the same with the LG. On the Avant there is room to hide the Apple TV. Is it possible to do the same with a wall mounted LG screen or what are you guys doing to hide an Apple tv
another thing I’m able to use my beoremote with my avant + Apple tv can I do the same on the LG or will the remote only work with LG screen and not the Apple tv ?
Wow 3 times. How long was there in between?
In your opinion what lacks does the LG tv have?
thanks for your reply.
What kind of bugs are we talking about with the Theatre?
I’ve had the Avant for close to 9 years, and enjoyed it every day. I knew the day would come when I had to decide if I should replace it with a new model or a new brand.
The write-off of 100% after 9 years would be acceptable had it been for a cheaper brand TV. But since the Avant cost 2-3 times as much as a same size regular TV I would expect it to last longer. Of course not 2-3 times longer but still longer.
With the trade in offer I can sort of recoup some of the write-off.
Thanks for your response.
Yes the offer includes, the 77″ LG C3 TV, motorized floor stand, Beosound Theater soundbar and the Beoremote, everything required to be good to go.
For the installation, I’d assume that if I accept that the dealer will deliver everything at my address and before he leaves, everything has been mounted on the floor stand and are ready to go. The remaining setup I will handle myself.
My beolab speakers are all being connected using WiSa and I would also assume that it should be just easy to connect as on the Avant?
For the G3 or C3 screen, ive been trying to find the differences and I can only find the G3 has better brightness than the C3 – Maybe there are other differencies?

I’m resurrecting this thread as the issue still persists.
My Wi-Fi is running on 5ghz but not on a DFS channel.
The issue seems to impact only 1 of my speakers as the rest works fine. If I unplug/plug-in the power to that speaker then it works just fine again.
if I tries to remove the speaker from the tv and re-add it it also helps but sometimes one of the other speakers stops working. This can be helped with an unplug/plug-in of power.
any suggestions to what the issue can be?
Thanks that was helpful.
I’m running Ubiquiti and had the nightly optimization enabled which meant that every night the channel could change also to a DFS channel. Right now its on channel 36 and since all speakers are working I have hardcoded 36 as a fixed channel and hopefully that will work.
Thanks.
Well I do have 1 Wi-Fi network running on 1 channel here, but I would assume that 1 single network would not cause it or at least that WISA can handle to coexist with 1 other Wi-Fi network.
Any chance this is because of the TV? Or because of some setting I’m not aware of?
regards
You could do a (google) search for Avant MK1 and Avant NG. If you’d post a picture of the main menu, we’d know —— the MK1 has the menus on the left side of the screen and the NG has the menu items horizontal at the bottom with the access to the ‘smart’ functions etc. Which remote do you use? MM
here is a picture of the main menu.
Could you please state which version (MK1 or NG), you have.
Are you sure that you refer to the right user guide?
MM
How or where do I see that?
Since you write about ‘a changed mainboard’, I assume that you have a MK1 version. In that case it is very easy to answer – altough you might not be pleased – there is no bluetooth support whatsoever on that tv! MM
Thanks for your reply.
If the tv doesn’t support Bluetooth why does the instruction manual refer to how it is used etc?
