    Hi,

    strange phenomenon which I’m unable to solve:
    Multiple devices do NOT get software updates. Every check with the B&O app or through their webinterface says that I already have the latest software.

    Latest software from B&O should be 6.x (April 2025) but the affected products are all a few software versions behind (2.x).

    4 Affected products:
    – 2x Beosound 1 MK1
    – 2x Beosound Essence MK2

    Beoremote Halo or the M3s are on the latest software without any problems.

    Is there any solution for this?

    Have you checked against the latest listed releases here? https://update.bang-olufsen.com/products

    According to page 3 of the link, Essence Mk2 latest update was released 9 Apr 25.  I will connect my Essence later and check that it updates OK.

    Thanks for the helpful links of software releases.

    Both Essence MK2 are stuck on version 2.x while the B&O website shows your mentioned April 2025 update with version 6.x
    But the Essences and the Beosounds will not recognise that there is newer software available. All stuck a few versions earlier.

    mine doesn’t. Still says software is up to date.

    That’s a bit strange.  Are you sure it is connected to the network, and that the network has access to internet?  You could maybe connect straight to your internet modem/router using RJ45 and try again.

    Yes, all devices are connected to the internet, play multiroom audio, streaming B&O radio from the internet etc.

    Have you got ‘Power Saving’ turned on in Settings?  Apparently that ‘limits certain functions’, so I suppose it could include SW update.

    You could also try a reset to factory settings and set up again.

    Good morning,

    – Power savings where off
    – reboot didn’t help

    Did a factory reset on all 4 devices yesterday and set them up again. That finally helped: All 4 are on software version 6.x april 2025 now.
