BRONZE MemberDo you know what is the future “Fluid Sweet Spot” acoustic DSP mode ?
27 April 2023 at 08:53 #45404GOLD MemberIn the specs they write: Mozart 2.0 platform.
I wonder what the 2.0 means/will bring?

I would not do that (not for long) – it is pretty heavy.

I think that Mozart 2.0 has to do with the inclusion of the UWB on the A5.
UWB is operating in the 6Ghz spectrum and I think is that this band is used for stereo pairing 2 A5 together.Karel.

Still, lets hope I’m in the minority and that B&O sell millions of the things!

I agree it is a little bit to much “hippie” looking.

BRONZE Memberthe design is nice enough, but not particularly special to me.
If it was from a different brand, I’m pretty sure many here would say “yeah, well, its nice enough” but not go much further than that.

I like the shape of the wood on the dark model but not the dark colour. The light wood one patten looks like a cheap basket or something. I wish the dark wood version would come in a lighter wood colour in the same pattern.

BRONZE MemberKarel,
do you think it’s possible without Wi-fi 6?27 April 2023 at 16:35 #45413Steph
BRONZE MemberSorry,
it has wi-fi 6 ?
Nice design, it seems to be powerful ??27 April 2023 at 19:27 #45414Mbee

No, it doesn’t have Wifi6 (aka 802.11ax), only wifi5 (or 802.11ac, which is more than enough to stream audio), UWB has nothing to do with Wifi, it’s another standard, the one that let you precisely locate an AirTag in your home for instance.
27 April 2023 at 19:35 #45415BRONZE MemberWi-Fi 6 support is accurate on the spec sheet, but it is lacking the mention of 802.11ax.

Saw this on Youtube :28 April 2023 at 09:36 #45418BRONZE MemberWould look really nice if its true! Bet it will be priced a bit above the “smoked oak”.

GOLD MemberThe specs seem great and I like the dark oak. I am just struggling to see where this fits into the product line or what need it is actually fulfilling. There is the level, Balance, Beolit, Beosound 2. It’s not for me anyway.

FOUNDER MemberI have no issue with the A5 or its specs bar one. Its a nice enough product and wish it well.
My problem is that I have a 6-year old A6 in the bedroom and a P6 , couple of P2s and an A2 all minty good condition in storage box somewhere doing very little. So no room for an A5 – and im that the case with many people?
I do have a SoTA home theatre system which still has to rely on a 3 pairs of 2005 vintage BL3s.
What I would really like is a very compact Beolab that can discretely act as HT surrounds without the need to carve-up the walls and ceilings.
I wonder where the money is for B&O. Flogging a refresh of the same mobile products (good ones at that), or producing a flexible home loudspeaker solution that is affordable and compact?

It’s a portable speaker for home. I think it is in “direct competition” with the Beosound Level.

BRONZE MemberTo Mr10Percent,
In a French YouTube video about the Beosound Theatre, the journalist interviews the Portfolio planning director of B&O.
This guy says B&O is working on a range of wireless satellite speakers. The customer can choose the size, the performance… -
