BRONZE MemberHi all,
I have a Beosystem 4 which (now I finally get round to setting up) I find does not have a compatible IR eye.
I have looked through eBay and to my untrained eye every version B&O made over the years look identical.
I really need to find one that will work with a Beosystem 4 (I’ll get the cable and connector from Sounds Heavenly), could anyone please explain what I need to be looking for and what differentiates a compatible one from a non compatible?
This will put my entire build on hold so any advice will be most gratefully received.
Thanks everyone
DH

The Beolink Handbook has wiring diagrams for IR sensors to RJ45 – see pages 121/122: https://beoworld.org/?a=download&key=051253a12a3abc36e98538e973b4862e

BRONZE MemberHmm, that link doesn’t seem to work for me.
But thanks for the reply, maybe it’s worth me just getting the cable anyway. If it works, great, if not, I’ve only lost out on the cost of a cable.
I believe Sounds Heavenly supply the necessary wiring instructions with the cable anyway.
Thanks for the reply,
DH
