Beovision 8-32: No Volume control, low Volume

Hi,

my Beovsion 8-32 doesn’t let me control volume. I’ve connected an audio source for testing on AV3 and Camera port via RCA connectors. Sound via Beo 4 is only on (volume level above 00) or off (volume level = 00) and it’s barely audible (camera input) or slightly audible (like a kitchen radio in the background volume level).

It’s set to option 1.

How to get “normal” volume levels out of it?

Two thoughts:

• Is there a setting in the Service Menu (or Customer Service Menu) for the Max Volume?  Perhaps this is set to zero.
• Headphone adaptor plugged in still?

Sorry but in that case I have run out of ideas!

Have you tried the other inputs?

There’s a comprehensive ‘no sound’ fault finding guide in the Service manual, but basically this just tells you which module to replace!

(EDIT: What about a ‘reset to default’ – that should be in the service menu?)
