BRONZE MemberAs of last week,my Ouverture stopped to activate powerlinked beolabs 4000(red lights on beolabs do not turn to green)on all sources.Otherwise, all functions working properly.
Temporarily,I am using headphones output cable from Ouverture to rca line-in to beolabs, and speakers are functioning normally.
Any idea if/how to solve this?

ModeratorIt’s not simply muted is it? As far as I know, the MUTE button just mutes the PL outputs and not the headphone socket, which has separate volume control when PL is muted.
Otherwise, any results from repeatedly pressing mute whilst speakers are connected? (and headphones disconnected)
One further suggestion: In case the headphone socket has any muting function, try repeated insertion/removal of headphone plug (and possibly clean internal headphone contacts).

BRONZE MemberThanks,Guy, I tried everything. On powerlinks, beolabs are not activated.Won’t turn green, remaining on red lights,on any audio source from Ouverture. On line-in inputs all functioning as it should.

GOLD MemberI would check the 3V battery to see if it has leaked and etched the board beneath it. I had a BS3000 with the same symptoms and it turned out that the battery had leaked and the acid etched the traces. The battery is on PCB 3 (Microcomputer).

ModeratorGood point from Bill above! For info, here’s some pictures showing the battery location in a very similar layout BC2300 – you have to remove the metal cover to access:

SILVER MemberTry to mesure 4 to 5V on trigger pin on PL connector. At some point can be power supply issue. Or plug in plug out heaphone jack…than we can go on😎
