      Hallo liebe Community,
      Ganz herzlichen Dank!
      Gruß!
      Stefan

        (Sorry for reply in English!)

Unlike the BC9000/9500, the BC9300 is based heavily upon the BC2300/2500 and the battery is located in a different place, under the metal cover of the microprocessor on the main PCB in the centre of the Beocenter.  This thread may help:  https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/topic/beocenter-9300-no-life-almost/

I think that the microprocessor board with the metal cover is under the PCB marked in green:

            Hello Guy!
Thank you so much for the quick answer on a friday evening 😉 and all the best from Cologne to the UK 😉 I just checked the BEO 9300 and I think you are absolutly right. The battery seems to be located under the metal cover under this PCB you marked in green. That seems tricky. I hope that I can remove the PCB without damaging these very small cables cause I totally have to remove this PCB. Do you think I can remove the cable sockets without damaging or just leave them at the PCB trying to get under it ?
            Have a great weekend!!!!

I think that you can just leave the cables connected, unclip the PCB from the black clip on the right hand side and then rotate it up and to the left.  But you might have to remove the microprocessor board so that you can solder a new battery from underneath.

I am more than happy to help – I have the 6-nations rugby (France v Wales) on another screen and a nice glass of red wine! 🍷

              Have a good weekend! 😀

                  Hi Guy,
I hope you had a nice evening – with rugby and red wine ;-). Who was the winner?
Thanks to your advice, I found the battery below the left PCB (picture Battery found). I only had to carefully detach two cable connectors from the PCB to the right of it (Battery removed cable) and then carefully lift the board above the metal box and turn it to the left. Anything else would have been too time-consuming, as I would have had to unplug all the plugs from the metal box. So I will probably get to it well with the soldering iron.
The yellow residues on the battery are only adhesive residues from the protective paper on the battery – no leaked liquid from the battery.
Now I’m going to order a new good button battery. What do you think? Is the battery only soldered to the contact plate at the top of the + side? Do you think that I can simply pull out the battery at the top after soldering it free from the + (top) side or is it also soldered at the bottom of the – side? Is hard to see?

                  Best regards! Stefan

                    Hi again Stefan,

The rugby was a bit one-sided as France beat Wales 43-0, and England’s defeat against Ireland yesterday wasn’t much better!  The Rugby ‘six nations’ runs for the next few weekends so hopefully it will improve!

Well done for finding the battery.  Regarding replacement, it is NOT a good idea to try desoldering the battery from its terminals as there is a danger of the battery exploding if heat is applied.  They are spot-welded in place as far as I know.

Ideally, you need to replace with one of these which has the correct pin spacing for the holes in the PCB: https://uk.farnell.com/renata/cr2450-nfh-lf/cell-lithium-button-2pin-3v/dp/1319731

… which means you will have to remove the processor board in order to solder underneath.

                      Thanks once more Guy!

That was a “close” result……hope the wine was better 😉
Will do so and will use a desoldering pump as well. Just ordered it…

                      Take care !

                      Best regards!

                        Hello8 Guy,

I made it. Used a desoldering pump and now waiting for the new battery 😉

                        Best regards!

                          Hi Guy,

I made it. The new battery is installed and well soldered. Reprogrammed and no “CODE” in the display. I can press all the buttons on the Beocenter and everything reacts like new. But a new problem has arisen that wasn´t there before. The Beocenter doesn’t respond to the remote control. Cant steer iot withe the Beolink ?!? I am quit sure that I have not touched or changed the area around the remote receiver in the Beocenter.
Do you have any advice for me?
                          Greeting! Stefan

                            Hi Stefan,

I gather from your other post that you have a BL1000 remote.

With the Beocenter in standby (turned off), use the BL1000 to press ‘SOUND’ then ‘1’ then ‘STORE’.  Hopefully the Beocenter will then respond to the remote.

It worked! Didn´t know that the connection between Beolink 1000 and the BC is down after changing the battery. Thought its just the wellknown “CODE”-issue.

                              Have a great weekend!

The problem was the A.OPT setting of the Beocenter.  Basically, if you don’t want it to respond to the remote, you can put it in A.OPT 0 by pressing SOUND 0 STORE on the BL1000.

SOUND 1 STORE will make it respond to IR commands again, but only audio commands (RADIO, CD etc)

SOUND 2 STORE will allow it to respond to both audio commands (as above) and video commands (TV, SAT etc).

For some reason removal of the battery made it revert to A.OPT 0

And have a great weekend too!
