I understand there may no fixed position but I need to know how to mount the white plastic leaver and n relation to the head position

As the head can spin 180 degrees does anyone know what position it should be in default ? if I look directly at the tape player from the front with the head at the bottom is the default position all the way to left or right position ?

It’s hard to know how to set the lever arm into the head’s cog ?‍♂️
