G’day Mate,
My Beolab 90s were delivered and installed late in July 2016. B&O advised that mine were the third pair to be sold in Australia. I was impressed with them right out or the crates. I remember wondering how such big boxes passed through customs with labels stating “Black Master” and “Black Slave”. As the months went by and the software upgrades enabled the various functions, the speakers only got better and better. I have a very “difficult” room, acoustically speaking). Perhaps BL90s are among my best investments since they now sell new for triple what I paid and second-hand prices can be nearly twice.
Like you I was concerned about the cost for repairs. Especially recently when the the slave began to play very quietly. Turns out the Android version of the B&O App was the problem. (Resolved by reinstalling the speakers to the Core using the Apple version of the App.)
Thanks to your post, I am now planning a special night of music for 27th July. 🎹 🥁 🎺 🎸 ( I live very remotely, so volume is never a problem.)
