    Hi,

So, I got and installed the new capacitors but it made no difference – there still is no display (picture).

Is there a way I could test power supply PCB 04 while it is out of the TV on its own ?

After I replaced the capacitors, I had PCB 04 assembled to the TV and using the service manual diagnostic flow chart (for symptom: No Picture) I did the checks and ended up with the conclusion that PCB 01 should be replaced. However, I am still not sure after those checks if PCB 04 is in fact OK or NOT OK. The service manual does not offer any test methods to determine if a particular PCB circuit functions OK or NOT OK.

Could someone help me with this please?

    Hi,

I assumed I could upload files via “Choose File” bellow. I guess I can not navigate this properly yet……………

    Will try uploading again.

    Hi,

Thank you for your continued support.

I have drawn up (what I understand) is the correct configuration for a cable from Power Link to AV and a cable from BS 3000 AUX to AV. Please check for me if they are correct (see files attached).

One question remains: Which pin should I solder the breaded wire to at the AUX end? Or should I not need to bother with that?

    Hi,

I have made a cable with one end 8 pin mini din (actually I just cut off one end of a spare power link cable) and the other end 9 pin mini din. But I am not sure if I soldered  the correct wires on the 9 pin connector. I followed the diagram you suggested (the best a novice like me can) so I soldered the green cable to position 9, the shield wire I twisted and soldered to position 8 and the brown wire I soldered to position 7 on the 9 pin mini din.

Is the above the correct thing to do?

Or should I solder the light grey shield wire from position 8 of the 8 pin mini din to position 8 of the 9 pin mini din.? Or have both those shield wires soldered to position 8 of the 9 pin mini din?

By the way, I like the idea of going from the AUX of the BeoSound 3000 to the AV of the BeoVision 11 however, the AUX socket is a 7 pin. Can I just cut off the centre pin of the power link connector?
