I have the premiere and emerges on demo currently. I am sold on the premiere, however I feel the emerges are underpowered in comparison, even with the settings tweaked to be louder at the rear. The emerge is a great speaker and I’ve actually bought one for the bedroom but in my opinion to match the presence of the premiere, you need BL8 (heard these in-store) or maybe balances at the rear.
As you say, if you are worried about being disappointed, go all in. Or get a demo in-store.
