      Your correct, orientation of the pins is the most important consideration without a doubt. Not sure that there was a center pin on AUX port, as I recall there was not. I’m not lifting it and turning it over to find right now, but I understand your point.

        I ordered from Amazon last night a new 5 din plug to RCA it arrived the next afternoon and it’s now installed and working well. I took special care in plugging the din to aux to make sure the orientation was correct, also the RCA plugs to the line out on the WIIM ULTRA and now I’m able to stream, and use my phono. I now may have to buy another WIIM for the stereo in the basement, becoming a gear head.

        So bottom line, it could have been the first cable I used the 7 pin was defective, or it didn’t like 7 pins… I just recalled others online saying they used 5 Pin, it’s working.
