Interesting, which hardware are you running minimserver on? Perhaps for context I need to mention that I am running the applications and the music on a Synology NAS, where the minimserver app is available in the package center. That one did not work for me before. The default media server from Synology does not work well either. Perhaps DSM 7.x has a better version, I am still on DSM 6.x

I have a Synology NAS so twonky is not supported as app, and needs to be installed with ssh so it breaks every now and then when I update.

I was hoping someone would make a plex ‘DLNA client preferences’ txt file that you upload there in the screen you show and that works for everyone with the encore…

Hi there, sorry to hijack this thread but found it googling on “differences Beolink Passive and NL/ML converter”.  I have a Beolink Active my mixed MCL/ML setup, with PC as command for the input source, if I replace the Active with a ML/NL converter would that:

1. serve the same purpose: drive my beolab and act as input for the room, even if there is no NL devices in the network?

2. Allow me to select which command on the beo4 selects the analog input, not only the PC command

3. possibly allow the local source to be available throughout the house, unlike Beolink Active?

Any added benefits of having a Beolink gateway in the system? i have one with the plan to use it for Philips Hue commands with Beo4.

I became a gold member immediately after I found this site 12? years ago, first for the prices but because I never won any of the prices I almost stopped believing the draw was real (I know it is of course but lost my interest). But now I renew my membership because I think this resource should stay online. I revisit the archived forum often as I am an old MCL fan, but when I upgrade to newer stuf I also want to be able to access Beoworld.

So I will keep my membership, to sponsor the site. Not for the prices. I would vote for an annual Christmas draw with just three good prices. Perhaps the dealer network can help sponsor this?
