BRONZE Member<p style=”padding-left: 40px;”>I read all the threads in this forum and many others 😁. Maybe I have a progress today. I read a thread for CDM12 lasers and found that laser diode can be partially detached and clean. When I open mine today, I found some kind of spot on the glass (not sure what real material is) and I think that is like a little burnt out (I will attached a photos). Maybe this will be the reason not start playing. I already order a new laser and when it arrives I will change it and hopefully resolve the issue. Thanks again for your support.</p>

BRONZE MemberThanks for the reply Guy, but unfortunately mine is with CDM12 ( new version) and I don’t have pcb 8. I have pcb89, which is on the place of pcb8, but very different schematic. I have all of the service manuals. On that pcb89, I’ve checked the transistors, voltages and cable slots for connectivity. Everything looks fine. I will attach a photo of that board in case you want to see it. Also i will add a photo of the laser to tell me if this kind of light is normal.
Thanks

BRONZE MemberHello everyone,
I am wondering if it’s going to have Part 2 or maybe more mods for this amp. I also want to thank you Die_Bogener for your advices and great work that you do for this community.
Best Regards

BRONZE MemberHi Die Bogener. I agree with You and I will find those on Wima, but can You please tell me where is this C22 on the power supply board? It was mention to be changed with other 3 caps – C8, C9 and C14.
Thanks
MartinMarto
BRONZE MemberThanks guys. I’ve change all the capacitors that You’ve mentioned and now everything seems to work like it should. There is more that i need help for:
1. I can’t find capacitor C22 that everybody mentioned in the PowerSuply board. If somebody can help me find it out.
2. I’ve bought 18 – 1uF 100V Nichikon Fine Gold capacitors for the Pre Amp board, but still considering changing of all Elnas and Rubycons on that board. What is Your opinion about that.
Many Thanks once more.

BRONZE MemberI spend some time for observation and it was actually start to getting hot from the far right side of the cooling fin. The relay is working well for now without any suspicious. So maybe my problem is somewhere in these transistors in the end of the pcb.
Any ideas?Thanks
Martin
Marto
BRONZE MemberAll the cooling fins are hot, maybe around 50 degree C. It’s like no matter is it ON or Standby, the temperature is the same.

BRONZE MemberThanks for this suggestion Martin. I can hear and see the relay clicks, anyway I resolder it, but still no luck with warming. I think that something else is the reason. The problem should be somewhere on the right side, around the big caps, but still can’t find it. Wondering what else stay on in the standby mode.
ThanksMartin

BRONZE MemberP.S. I also found that when RCA was connect to Line-in socket and the amp is on OFF position, I still hear very very quiet music from the speaker. Is that normal?
Marto
BRONZE MemberHi and thanks for the suggestion, but today I’ve check all the connections and resolder them for any case and the main 2 problems stays:
1. The noise, even with no source cable inserted, which for me sounds like a buzzing.
2. Not goes to stand by mode.
Please, if You have any other things in mind to give an idea where to search.
Best regards,
Martin -
