BRONZE MemberBass to me is clean, punchy and it’s enough. Yes, in comparison to my 28’s, Theatre or Balance they’re less bass heavy. But I tuned down the low end on all of those… Considering the size of the speaker and woofer, I’m still impressed what they can produce.
If you were impressed as well and enjoy their sound signature, why would you care what a reviewer writes? Just enjoy them.

BRONZE MemberSorry, for a moment I thought Stage was also on the Mozart platform. My bad.
I would swap cables again between Stage and your C4, remove the B&O app, reinstall and start over again. To me these issues scream faulty cable, but it could be on the software side as well.

BRONZE MemberI don’t have a Stage, but with Theatre you can also change the button to directly go to the source (instead of scrolling and pressing ok, just one push on the tv button and everything switches on).
With Theatre it’s under Settings > Sources > Tv sources > Source from stand-by

BRONZE MemberAgree on the cable test (Ethernet and HDMI), can’t hurt to try.
Especially since there wasn’t a software update during that period. Last one was September ‘24 and 13th of January ‘25 again (https://update.bang-olufsen.com/products/4450c91b7d3a44a5afd18c4640af2ec6 )

BRONZE MemberDo the 8’s have an orange/amber light stating that they don’t have a WiFi connection? Or are you basing that statement on them not showing in the app? And are the 8’s also stereo paired wirelessly?

I played around with the photo a bit and used a more warm filter. Got a more nostalgic feel to it. And for me personally, it’s a bit easier on the eyes as a wallpaper. Maybe you like it as well 🙂

BRONZE MemberWell hardware wise, they’re ahead. All the chips are newer (Bluetooth 5.3 vs 5.0, WiFi6 vs 5, etc). And you definitely notice it using them too, the 8’s are much faster than Balance (and other Mozart based speakers I have here like 28’s and Theatre).

BRONZE MemberI had the Almando Multiplay Surround Decoder with WiSa with a Sony A90J and Beolab 28’s.
It was not a good marriage with the Sony tv, E-ARC constantly lost it’s handshake, so no sound. ARC worked fine. Although there’s a delay in turning on/off the tv and the 5v trigger to the 28’s in my case. So the 28’s closed after 10+ seconds after the tv was off. Which kinda killed the B&O magic for me 😉 The sound quality was noticably worse via ARC though. To be honest, it could have been a Sony issue, but I was not satisfied. My dealer had lot’s of clients where it worked perfectly.
Hall Audio WiFi Streamer is an alternative solution with 5v trigger for B&O and it’s cheaper as well.

BRONZE MemberI had an ‘issue’ where it seemed my 28 stereo pair was updated in the app, but it was only the primary 28. The secondary 28 was still on the old software and the update didn’t show. When I unpaired it, the software update immediately popped up for the secondary 28 as well. Maybe this could help you as well if you want to force an update

BRONZE MemberSelect your 28’s pair in the app and go to Settings > Audio Quality. Theatre doesn’t have this option.

BRONZE MemberYep. 28’s to my Theatre. And also used a Balance as surround speaker via DPL.
Everything works fine, but I’d like to still be able to use my speakers independently from Theatre – which is not possible via DPL. So I am back to PL.

BRONZE MemberI don’t own a Core, but I do know that Tidal has its own limitations via Google Cast. So that might be your issue 🙂 Please see below.

BRONZE MemberI have it as well, also with the Theatre LG G3 combination, not very often though. Once every few months. Rebooting the BR1 resolves it for me and is faster then powercycling the Theatre etc 🙂

BRONZE MemberDoes anyone know how to delete a Sound Mode? Swiping right to left does still work with Listening Positions, but not with Sound Modes…
ps. I’m on iOS and it’s a sound mode I created myself, not the B&O ones.

BRONZE MemberSame here, some hiccups every now and then on various Mozart stuff (BL28/Theatre/Balance). Also UniFi setup with 750mbit WiFi, U6 Pro ap’s and fine connection for all devices (>400mbps, only 5Ghz, connected to dedicated ap, for every device).
Definitely a B&O radio issue. Tidal works fine.
