I’m glad the technology (hardware) inside is going well, i’m hoping for a software jump. The 8’s look too much trophy to me. Also the glass top (fingerprints!) screams generic, where is the aluminum micro-lasered or edged top from the Beocentre 2?

The B&O app is not great, not by any measurement. And by extend any software endeavor has been mediocre.
Found out that factory reset through the app is NOT the same by using a on-device method. With a recent update some devices showed a this behavior of not connecting. Using the device it’s reset button did the trick.
Not agreeing on his loathing review of the app, quite questionable response (sponsored?).
The M3 gives the following messages under critical events, “Unable to register with BeoPortal“.
Anything i can do?
Matter is a language ‘protocol,’ and Thread is a radio standard primarily used with Matter, often referred to as “Matter over Thread.” All ‘bridges’ are designed to connect different networks, usually from a local network or the internet to a specific radio standard, such as Zigbee. The bridge makes devices discoverable on your local network and exposes them over Matter. Although Matter works over Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and Thread (all IP-based). The first two do not require a bridge and advertise directly to your phone.
Unless your bridge supports both Thread radio and Zigbee, your setup will not function as wished. Very clear.
How you describe your setup is not how ‘matter’ works. Hubs like the philips hue one is discoverable as Matter device (including it’s lights) and does not find other Matter products.
I’d like to control the Beoconnect Core or A5 from Home overview on my Phone. Turn on, radio, when i’d just got in or alle pause when last person leaves.
The Sync cable is only used to sync volume.
I’m experiencing some problems with the last update, when joining another room using the app the volume starts at 0, ignoring default volume.
A first for for me is that the Beosound Core shows a option to set connected speakers but does not appear to do anything. Also found out that one wifi error and it won’t reconnect (redoing wifi), this is annoying.
Album arts only shows with radio, new layout removed the speaker setting option for my V1.
The app experience is not giving any confidence to buy any integrated product at all, software backend is flacky, app navigation is mediocre and style is playful. Nothing to write home about.
I’m also experiencing the volume problem, sometimes it also ignores the default volume and starts the at volume zero when join is performed trough the app .
new for me is that the Beosound Core shows a option to set connected speakers but does not appear to do anything.
Other : Album arts only shows with radio, new layout removed the speaker setting option for my V1.
The usability of the app is the worst i’ve ever seen. The product selection should be secondary to the current active player; i’d propose to place this under the current active player.
Could the new Theatre be setup as centre and ceiling alone so you can add fronts?
The Beolab 12 range look to be quite the match concerning looks. -
