After about 5 minutes the BeoLabs switch off, if no signal is present anymore, LED’s switch to red.

        Hello,
For weeks I’m looking for the error.
I have internet from Vodafone with FRITZ!Box 6690 cable (500Mbits/s).
Sporadically, the LG Oled G3 65″ loses the Internet connection, Theatre is via LAN, connection to the TV with Ethernet cable. (CAT6)
The stupid thing is that then with BR1 the TV can no longer be operated. I have now uninstalled the B&O app, so I can at least control the TV and the volume with the Magic Control. The BR1 I then only take for the Theatre to control sound modes and speaker groups.
The TV doesn’t find the DNS server anymore, with DHCP it looks for an internal IP (169.254.192.xxx; subnet: 255.255.0.0), so no routing to the internet.
With manual setting of the network connection the same problem, no matter whether DNS of the FRITZ!BOX or public DNS (Google etc.)
After restarting the TV everything is o.k. again, until next time.

The error was already before the update.

My Eclipse MK1 also with burn-in.
Replacement would have cost a good 1500€.
I have written to several dealers. Another panel can not be used because the Soundcenter MK1 can not be controlled with the B&O app.
I then decided on LG OLED G3 combined with the Theatre.
TV has 5 year warranty, new panel already after a few weeks get.
But very slow spare parts supply, waited about 4 weeks for it.

It was a costly experience for me.

I scrapped the panel and have the sound center well packed in the basement. 8 months left, then I’m retired, then I’ll have the time to reactivate the soundcenter.
Replacing the mainboard is a good approach, but you can also get into the speaker menu via an IP address, maybe something can be done.

I had contact with the repair center, they told me that LG insists on a repair, I then get the free warranty extension in return for the waiting time.
The confirmation of this was today in the letter from the workshop with it. With the repair number, I then had to contact an LG email address. The new warranty certificate will then be sent to me.
The fact that the repair was finished faster than expected is probably related to my loud announcements at the dealer and B&O.
The dealer called me rather meekly when he received the mail with the money-back claim.
Here in Germany, there is a legal regulation in addition to the manufacturer’s warranty.
The dealer must guarantee for two years that the goods are free of all defects.
If the repair takes longer than 4 weeks, I can withdraw from the purchase contract and claim back the full purchase price.
If the TV has the same defect again, I would be entitled to a new device.

              The TV is back.
My patience was rewarded with a free warranty extension for another 36 months.

It’s true that every device can have a defect.
That’s not my problem. I’m just pissed off because the spare parts procurement is so slow.
And yes, if I had commissioned LG directly, I could continue to use the TV. that was also the answer from LG when I complained.
But the manual also says that you should not continue to use a defective device in order to avoid further damage.
The authorized workshop of LG is about 10 km from my home, the competence center of LG about 180 km away from me.
So the procurement should not have taken longer than 5 days, unless the OLED module had to come from South Korea first.

Yesterday my dealer called me, the repair is complete.
Next week, the LG should be back on the wall after an appointment.
Why this happened so quickly, I have no idea.
Maybe my loud announcement to the CEO of B&O has done something.

                A nice weekend

Believe me I was very loud and clear in my complaint to the dealer, today by e-mail, tomorrow he gets it again by mail by registered mail.
Short version: if the device is not repaired by the set date, or a new replacement device comes, I demand my money back, with deadline.
CEO I have also informed in detail, whether it helps, I have my doubts, but I wait and see what happens.
Reaction must come from the dealer to the deadline, otherwise lawyer, court assistance.
Who does not want to hear must feel.

So, the complaint to B&O support and CEO is written.

Warranty claim (German Law) to the dealer with deadline has been made.
So money back if no successful repair was completed or a new replacement unit was delivered by the deadline.

                    Let’s see what happens now.

The dealer has two stores, one B&O only and one as a mixed store.
I have been with him for 25 years, will then part ways with him if he is stubborn.

I have already emailed the dealer that I want the purchase price back if the repair is further delayed due to slow parts delivery.
We’ll see what he has to say about that

I like the idea of contacting b&o directly, I’ll do that later on.

Together as a package, was also mounted by the dealer for a fee.
                        4 hours were needed.
I could puke at what B&O has got itself into with LG.
I should have kept my hands off it.

                        I am pissed off.

Correct, I was provided with a loaner device.
A 48″ Metz OLED with table stand, the Metz is now in front of the sound center on the sideboard, hidden sound.

The device was in operation for 8 weeks, then came the panel fault.
LG generally insists on a repair, a return exchange is only made after a failed repair.

That was the statement from the dealer.

                            “Without words. com”

                            Yesterday evening the same problem.
No connection from the TV to the Soundcenter.
BR1 without function except for volume, but without display.

It was also noticeable that the function LED was constantly white, which is usually only in line-in operation, so if I only listen to music via the Beosound 9000.

Then rebooted once again, then the BR1 had no connection to the Souncenter.
The batteries are full, even when I took the BR1 out of the case and then brought back together there was no change.
TV could only be turned on with the app and the Magic Control.

BR1 then decoupled from soundcenter, then reestablished the pairing.
Currently it runs again, until the next crash.

There will probably be another mega bug in the B&O app, my guess.
Is the G3 from LG at all compatible with the theatre?

I had separated from Eclipse, because of massive image errors on the panel.
The display would also still have been available.
That would be older panel, but a fully functional setup.

My satisfaction is so far within limits.

                            Many greetings

Yes that’s right, restarting the soundbar can help.
But the dropouts were too much at the end.
Strange is only that after switching on the setup everything was o.k..
After a certain time nothing worked with the BR1, only the volume control, but without the display on the screen.
With the “magic remote control” it showed the regulation, but then it was without function.
I then had to use two remotes to operate the set-up.
A battery change is then useful when they are empty, you can measure; with me it did not help.
A question on the side: if I have selected a speaker group and then go back to theatre alone, that takes me quite a long time, so about 15 seconds, is that the same for you?
So change in the middle of the film is not good, then only during commercial breaks.

                              Have a nice evening

                                Hello,

I’ve had the same problem couple days ago.

The main problem is, that the ethernet connection is gone between the LG-TV and the soundcenter: That’s the reason why the BR1 cannot find the soundcenter.
Based on the IP address after which the tv wanted to connect to the soundcenter, this could not work either.
That was an IP address for bluetooth connection.
There was probably a node in the data exchange between the two devices.

I spend a lot of time to reset the system, also the LG-TV, set up both units again after the factory reset.
I first set up the TV again and disconnected the mains connection to the Soundcenter.
Since the soundcenter was without power, I could only set up Internet access from the TV via W-Lan.
                                I deactivated the Quickstart.
I also installed the B&O software. Although the Soundcenter had no power, the TV switched the sound output to HDMI-ARC.
I switched the TV back to standby and disconnected it from the mains after an hour.
After one hour it was the soundcenter’s turn. Here, too, I set everything up again.
The Soundcenter was then switched to standby.
Now I reconnected the TV to the mains.
Everything was immediately available, including the Ethernet connection to the Soundcenter.

Good luck, I hope it helps you

                                  Hello all,

there is news on the panel topic

The display of my Eclipse has become a special waste with image sticking and cloud formation in the border area. This is very annoying, especially with red mixed colors.

The display is still available, but for the price I get a panel of the latest generation with currently 5 years warranty (LG).

Is it technically feasible to connect an LG TV via HDMI to the Soundcenter, so that the functions auto on and off, as well as the volume control via the TV remote control are given?

The gap between the center and the TV can be hidden well, that is the least evil.

Is it possible to configure the setup menu of the sound center via an IP address or with the B&O app if necessary?
This is now possible for example, with the I-Pad I get access to the setup menu with the IP address: 192.168.178.35

I would like to continue using the Soundcenter with a new panel if possible, an outdated one from B&O at an overpriced price is out of the question.
Also a new SetUp from B&O with LG panel, never again!
Not worth the money just because the panel is distributed by B&O.

Many greetings, have a nice day
