Did you check with a microscope then?
These 6000 stylii go deeper into the grooves and pick up more dirt and dust, and with a sferical stylus you might hear nothing.
Better buy a usb microscope first and check it first.
Location: NetherlandsGOLD MemberNo, the Beosound5 & Beomaster5 combo (is still running on Windows95) is different from the Encore version
The Beosound5 Encore is standalone. And running on a Linux flavour.
Although The BS5Encore was able to cooperate with the BS5&BM5 combo, as in the latter in the main room and every other room a BS5 Encore.
It has 2 usecases; playing Beoradio and playing local music files from a NAS or USB.
I always liked the operation by hand, like you do with a record player.
Had it for about 10 years without a remote control.

Location: NetherlandsGOLD MemberMine had its last sw update in 2011, so I think it never had an update besides its initial sw.
But radiostations do get updates I reckon, at least you can request a radio station to be added to the Beoradio list if you ask the helpdesk.
Location: Netherlands16 March 2025 at 18:38 in reply to: Advice needed – bought a new house and want to use B&O speakers left behind. #64529GOLD MemberTry to find online a manual for your BS3000, wich usually discribes how to configure connected ML speakers with the before mentioned remote.
Also it is wise to replace the foam in your Beolab 4000 speakers, the black old foam detoriates to crude oil again and damages the circuit board. They are great speakers, too good to have them damaged.
Location: NetherlandsGOLD MemberWhen you look on dk-soundparts.com and look for ‘fuse’ you will see how they look like.
Location: NetherlandsGOLD MemberThere are I believe 3 fuses, but they don’t look like fuses.
more like capacitors, they are soldered on.
Maybe check out a service manual or check the printed text on the pcb’s

Location: Netherlands1 February 2025 at 06:48 in reply to: BeoRemote one BT and LG C4 65 via Beosound Stage – TV Won’t switch on #63279GOLD MemberAfter pressing tv, choose source, and press ok.
Otherwise try other cables between tv and Stage.
The BR1’s signal travel thru the cable to the tv.Location: NetherlandsGOLD MemberListen to the Severed Hand and replace the lan cable between Theatre and TV.
B&O seem to buy their Lan cables at Temu and/or Shein. Utter crap.
Aliexpress has even better cables.
All the comms between BR1 and tv go thru the lan cable.
I binned that cable out of the box.
Location: NetherlandsGOLD MemberWhat actually would you like to control exactly on your PS5?
I have a PS4, and no idea what to control with a BR1?Location: NetherlandsGOLD MemberHas the black foam been replaced?
Location: NetherlandsGOLD MemberI also get this message (your Bang & Olufsen Product has been disconnected…)
Yes, excactly the same message I get when I pull the HDMI cable out the tv on purpose.
Location: NetherlandsGOLD MemberYes, the lan cable shipped with the Theatre is utter garbage.
From the box straight into the bin so it won’t cause any harm.A 10 grand soundbare shipped with a 50ct lan cable, how much harm can you do to your own brand?
Location: NetherlandsGOLD MemberI know the ethernet cable provided with the Theatre is garbage, but I don’t know with the Stage.
Swap out your cables first, after that you can complain about B&O’s Stage firmware.
your Beoremote’s commands travel through those cables to the tv.
that your cables where fine before is zero guarantee, they can just give up after a while.
As far as I know the Stage is rock solid.
Location: NetherlandsGOLD MemberYou could use Beolab 3, 4000,17, or 8 high up on the wall or ceiling with the appropriate brackets.
or use celestials, but they are passive speakers and need a seperate amp.
The Theatre can do the room correction once it knows wich speakers are connected.
This measuring is suprisingly accurate.
The is a technical soundguide on how to do this, but I don’t know where to download it.
Someone else can jump in here.
you can use Wisa, but be aware that when your Wifi router is hopping channels it can cause disturbance.
Setting your wifi router manually on one channel and/or on 2.4 or 5g is very helpful.
Location: NetherlandsGOLD MemberYou can use all of the Beolabs from the eighties onwards
you choose the right model from the pull down menu when configuring/adding them to the Theatre
Location: NetherlandsGOLD MemberKose trading has a YT video where they take the BC2 apart.
Very helpful.
Location: NetherlandsGOLD MemberRon had one for me, it is underway to me.
Thanks againLocation: NetherlandsGOLD MemberIk heb toen ik deze had altijd op auto update staan, maar de software is altijd blijven staan op die van 2013.
