    Sorry to say it….. …..but I think you’re exaggerating a bit?

MM, maybe you don’t recognize this, but that was clearly a homophobic slur. That is not acceptable.

The utterance from Henrik was “Get those F-gots out of there.” Beotalk Episode #229, timestamp 41.20. I’ve already reported this to Youtube.

congratulations, what spec did you go for, if you dont mind me asking?!

I went for the basic 55″ in silver andgrey melange and just the included wall mount. I plan to upgrade to 77″ and oak sometime later. FYI, the part of the total price for the fabric is $200. So I suppose that buying just the oak grill later will be an additional $200 on top of the price difference on the website. I would have like the gold tone, but I was told that might be backordered until the end of the year. It’s expected that I’ll receive mine by the middle of October.

I’m going to try to keep my cable from the BeoSystem 4 in place as they are as much as possible. I’ll try to run Cat7 cables from the Theatre’s powerlink sockets to connect to the cables I used for the BeoSystem 4 via RJ45 couplers. It seems less of a mess to have 4 Cat7 cables running from the Theatre than 8 DIN powerlink cables running from the Theatre.

I’m curious to see how much better the Theatre will be replacing my BeoLab 10.

I’m not sure whether I will use the Theatre as just the center channel speaker and keep my BeoLab 9 speakers as front left and right speakers or if I will use the Theater for front left, center, and front right channels and use my BeoLab 9 speakers as wide left and wide right speakers. Any thoughts anyone?

I ordered my Beosound Theatre today.

I’ve been told by my dealer that even thought I don’t have an LG screen that I’ll be able to pair the Beoremote One with the Theatre and control devices connected directly to the Theatre by PUC — such as Apple TV and UHD player. If I just need to add the ability to turn the Samsung TV on/off, I already have that control with the BLI and Global Caché. So I can just create macros to do that.

Never having had Dolby Atmos at home, I sorted through blu-rays and UHDs to pick some Dolby Atmos movies to enjoy when I get the Theatre. I was frustrated to see that there ARE a lot of discs that only have DTS. I guess I’ll have to live with going into my UHD player settings to switch from bitstream to PCM whenever I need to play a dts-only movie.

Can anyone discern what the difference might be between the third row and fifth row in the chart for third party integration? Both refer to the Theater turning the TV screen off when the Theater is switched to standby, but it’s unclear what the difference is between those two rows.

I’ll try to attach the file regarding 3rd party tv and projector integration.

Today, a dealer sent me a chart from B&O that shows the types of control available with the Theater and various non-LG TVs and projectors. It looks like there is at least some control. For example, it shows that using the Beoremote One to turn on/off the Theater will turn many TVs on/off.

    £1000 for the aluminium wings…? They’re really pushing it…
Does anyone know if the larger size of wings is an option where those wings are shipped with the Theater INSTEAD of the standard size wings? Or do we get the larger size of wings IN ADDITION to the standard size wings?
I’m curious about this to know if we choose to buy larger wings LATER if the price is even MORE than the quoted price for the upgrade at the time of the purchase of the Theater.

Hi Beoworlders, If you are considering buying the new Beosound Theatre, please can you let me know which audio products you would want to use it with? Query This could be an existing Beosound music system, a Beogram turntable, non-B&O speakers, or something completely different… I will then cover how to make all the connections in my next YouTube video. Kind regards, Steve.

    Steve,

A good area to look at here is cable management with an upgrade from the BeoSystem 4. My Beosystem 4 is near a wall other than the wall with my tv. In thinking about how to handle the cabling, I rather like the idea of not having to run new cables. Do you see disadvantages to using your “Shielded RJ45 Coupler” connected to Cat7 cables coming out of the Beosound Theater Powerlink sockets? That would seem like a clean way to manage the cables.

Also, I have a BeoLab Transmitter 1 that I could use with the BeoSound Theater to connect to the 4 BeoLab RJ45 ports and then use WISA to send the sound from the Transmitter 1 to up to 8 of my classic Din8 Beolab speakers. When connecting a Beolab Receiver 1 to a Beolab speaker, do you find that people prefer to use the RJ45 to Powerlink Clip-On adapter that you offer or do people prefer a longer cable like the 1.8 meter adapter that you offer?

The Beosound Theater checks off all of the boxes of what I was looking for in a replacement to the Beosystem 4 with the exception of how the Beoremote One control is implemented. It makes sense for the Beoremote One control to work via pairing with the LG screen IF control of smart tv apps are needed. However, if all of the control of the screen that the user needs is just to turn the screen on/off, it seems that the HDMI-CEC could control that and have all other control of the Beosound Theater be made through pairing the Theater directly with the Beoremote One. I’m finding B&O’s approach at having Beoremote One control reliant on an LG screen to be frustrating. As it stands now, if I want to use a Beoremote One with my Theater, I would need to replace my Samsung screen with one of the supported LG screens.
