So similar to the one I found in Sweden. But nothing from Europe will work correct?

Do you think this would work? Is the only thing I can find for now .

Nice collection you have. How do you like the “banana” phones?Screen Shot 2023-09-10 at 11.36.11 PM

“If you want to have two working landline handsets then I think that you either need to find another US spec (Type 700) BeoCom 6000 Mk1, or find a ‘Beoline US’ base and another BeoCom 1.”

    Wow, this is complicated!

What if I located a BeoCom 1 [ bace ] ( if I can find one) and run that along side the other US spec bace B&O 6000  , and left the charger in the bedroom.? Having two American spec phone systems that are incompatible seems idiotic, but there it is. Who knows ,what regulations might have caused this.

Question to you . Is it advisable to go through the steps and reset the base and then the handset for better performance does it clean up the functions or firmware of the phone?

What if anything do you like to do with these old phones that are so darn good but of course not made anymore, not that I can afford (new ) one now. To make them keep operating or operate  better.

    Thanks ever so much again

Thank you so much for trying to work out this problem with me. I tried the 9#9# , thing on the original phone I bought new with the base in the United States in New York City with not much affect. Let’s establish whether I have two compatible phones and bases these are the pictures.

“now that I am using Wi-Fi in my apartment” ,just meant    line B&O with speaker phone in the bed room . but now I need an extra handset to keep in the bedroom with my cordless phone in the living room. So I better stick with the US, to buy  one.

Well I tried what was suggested in the link you sent me of the discussion here but nothing happened. I also tried disconnecting everything from the power and by the phone line waiting a little reconnecting the same thing the answering machine looks like what it does in the picture a little background but absolutely no function at all only that if I disconnect the line there’s a little symbol of  Handset middle top of screen.
