      Hello there,

Pretty simple question. I’m interested in getting myself a Beovision AV9000 tv set but it’s sold without the remote. It is one of the first type and not the Beo4 revision that was released later on if I’m not mistaken. So it’s supposed to be used with a Beolink 5000 which I don’t have (and I assume are pretty expensive nowadays). But I have a Beo4 remote from another of my B&O TV, and I was wondering if I could use this one to operate the AV9000 ?

      Thanks

        strait answer: yes….. but

you will not have all (additional) functions available with the Beo4 and depending on your Beo4 (with or without joystick) the operation can be different than expected.

I don’t think I have a joystick on my Beo4, and after looking on the internet they all look the same as mine, I can’t find one with a joystick. It’s the one I got with the MX6000 and it looks like this: https://assets.catawiki.com/image/cw_normal/plain/assets/catawiki/assets/2020/8/2/4/e/e/4ee8fba9-221f-4c04-ad7f-74c8b13c88c1.jpg

The features I want are: being able to access the service menu to correct the geometry of the TV (most important one), changing volume/channels and being able to rotate the motorized stand using the remote. Do you think those would work?

The one on the far right has a joystick, actually more of a ‘nipple’ in the centre of the arrow buttons.

And you should be able to do all the things that you require with the version of remote that you own.
