Wie Powerlink verlängern?

Hallo,

Ich möchte vom Beosystem 4 auf Theatre upgraden.
das Problem ist, das das Beosystem 4 im Schrank nahe dem Boden steht. Nun muss ich einige der Powerlink Kabel um ca. 40cm verlängern, da die Theatre weiter oben hängt. Komplett neue Kabel will ich nicht verlegen, ich muss also verlängern. Am BS4 sind kurze Y-Splitter eingesteckt, also 1x RJ45 auf 2x alte PL Stecker.
kann ich einfach RJ45 Verbinder (2 RJ45 Buchsen gegenüberliegend) nehmen und daran ein 40cm Netzwerkkabel zum verlängern einstecken? wenn ja, welche Abschirmung brauche ich? Ist CAT5 OK?

Hello Martin!

Wow that is a nice upgrade!

Your connection idea will work fine. B&O advises CAT7 for their S/FTP cabling, I would just stick with that.

Could these be an option for you:

they will save you a ‘mechanical’ connection in the signal path.
