SILVER MemberHi, this is my first post here.
I recently acquired an incomplete amp and receiver to obtain spare parts for my Beomaster 2000. What’s left of the chassis and the general form factor are matching the original Beomaster, but this incomplete amp is quite different when it comes to sliders and switches. While the “normal” Beomaster 2000 has 4 sliders for:
- Volume
- Balance
- Bass
- Treble
The new incomplete one has:
- Volume (2 sliders parallel)
- Balance Front
- Balance Rear
- Balance Front-Rear (2 sliders)
- Bass (2 sliders)
- Treble (2 sliders)
There’s also a “PHONO 4CH – 2CH” instead of the “TAPE 1 – 2” switch underneath the left sliding cover (which is missing the “Beomaster 2000” text and only saying “Loudness”). The source switches for “LW” and “MW” are replaced by “STEREO” and “MATRIX”.
I wasn’t able to find any reference to this unit, so maybe there’s someone around here who’s able to solve this mistery! This is the print and label on the bottom of the unit:Location: Austria

SILVER MemberThank you AdamS!
Yes, it must actually be a Beomaster 3400.
What’s still strange is the label on the bottom that refers to type 2801 which is the Beomaster 2000 …The remaining PCBs and components of the 3400 look quite good (at least compared to my 2000), I think the only electronic parts that are actually missing belonged to the FM tuner (the P1 – P5 station pre-sets are in place).
I’ll check if the amplifier part is working and then take it from there. Is there likely any demand for Beomaster 3400 parts and spares?
