    Hello All –

I’m looking for a Beocom 2 Banana Handset with a speakerphone. ย  And, where can I find the speakerphone button on the handset? ย Does it need a special speakerphone base.

Just trying to figure this all out.

    Thanks for anyone’s help,

    John O’Rourke

There is no speakerphone capability on the BeoCom 2, so you will have to think of a different solution if you need a speakerphone.

Maybe look for a Beocom 5.

    Welcome to Beoworld!

The analogue phone network is still in use here in UK – switch off is delayed until at least January 2027 because of the number of vulnerable users who reply upon it for such things as personal/house alarms and telecare.ย  I still use my BeoCom 6000s and Beocom 2 as a home phone (landline) because the mobile signal is intermittent where I live.

Even after analogue switch-off, I will continue to use my Beocoms as a landline with a VOIP adaptor.

Here in the Netherlands you can still subscribe for two fixed analog connections. Those connections are integrated in the home modem for internet and Wifi and are offered for many years. So I connect my still in use home exchange with Becom 6000 and Becom 2 units to call everyone for dinner and such, even good friends know the regular old numbers, just in case. Nice equipement also.
