If you just want to replace the aluminium disc then I think you should be able to do so without disturbing any of the wiring.  Have you tried removing the moving bracket parts at the top of the stand (allen key required) and then simply lifting the disc up over the pole.  The cables should just tuck into the cable gap in the pole while you do this.

Failing this, you can go under the stand base and unbolt the vertical pole, then feed the cable down through the pole as you remove it โ€“ again no requirement for any wiring to be disturbed.  I am not sure about the 10-40, but many B&O motorised TV stands also have a DIN connector within the pole for easy disconnection.

This may help:  (You should be able to remove parts 9515 and then 9514 quite easily)

    Thanks for that Guy!

No , I think I will need to access the connections as the plug at the tv end is broken, so, I either need a new plug to mount myself or a complete cable.

Do you have any info about the tv end plug?

    This from the service manual:

    stand

And an old post here talks about stand cable colours BUT it actually refers to the older round (DIN) stand connector โ€“ B&O may have kept the same colours scheme.

Again, thanks, the plug is broken in half so to speak, and, it is possible to see the wire cover colours.

So it would seen to be a fairly simple job to mount a new plug.

I had found some plugs linked to Amazon, so , later I will have another  look!

As  far as I can see this should work, just need to solder the joints and heatshrink coloured covers on them   โ€”   it will not be pretty but should work!!   ๐Ÿ˜‰

Going on from this, did B&O ever market any sort of plug to fill the shelf mounting point on the vertical tube when the shelf was not used?
