Has anyone managed to connect a PLEX dlna server to a beosound 5 Encore?
My unit discovers the server without issues but when i go to N. MUSIC, it just appears a blank screen with no songs at all. No loading, nothing.

    Any ideas to try?

My PLEX dlna settings are the default:

Not really and I am struggling actually with it again today, so I found my own old threads about it:

And minimserver also does not work

I have a Synology NAS so twonky is not supported as app, and needs to be installed with ssh so it breaks every now and then when I update.

I was hoping someone would make a plex ‘DLNA client preferences’ txt file that you upload there in the screen you show and that works for everyone with the encore…

    I disagree!
I use Minimserver for several years now. It is seen by all my B&o and yes, also by my Beosound 5 Encore.

Plex I rejected in the past as music server. So I have no knowledge anymore about the correct settings.
EDIT: Does the “DLNA default protocol info” contain music protocols? It shows (but the box is short….) only video protocols.

Interesting, which hardware are you running minimserver on? Perhaps for context I need to mention that I am running the applications and the music on a Synology NAS, where the minimserver app is available in the package center. That one did not work for me before. The default media server from Synology does not work well either. Perhaps DSM 7.x has a better version, I am still on DSM 6.x

    Thanks

For the moment and the longest time it is running on Windows. But some years ago it did run on MacOS and I did some testing with Linux (Raspberry Pi) in the past.
